Primavera did a really cool sort of 'film' that had clues as to who were playing throughout it. Like the character walked into a record shop and purchased a Pixies vinyl and stuff like that. Was really interesting.

They made an app based game this year where when you shot a baddie it gave you the name of an act performing and when you completed the level you got a headliner. They didn't release until way too late though so that defeated the purpose but it didn't matter to me so much as I couldn't complete the first level. If they did that for Glastonbury it'd take weeks to complete though. :P

They don't usually release individual lineup posters for the different areas like they are this year. They're doing something different (and quite cool) this year with the announcement. All will be revealed shortly.

Patience.

please can you just halt the BS. I can't keep up with it

Why are so many people fuelling this troll? I know you're hopeful but there is about 0.2% chance of the lineup coming tonight

Nobody on here believed The Sun when it said The Who were the headliners earlier. Have faith people. It's not as if he's charging you £10 to see the line up each then ripping you all off in an elaborate scam is it.

I believed The Sun. It was too outlandish not to be with the Paris angle.

Admirable that he's still going with it imo, makes me interested.

Normally even the people that are "sure" back out if something like this happens.

Pretty sure even the outer-limits had a period of being uncertain haha.

Indeed I did. It was when you started believing what I said :sarcastic:

The end of this day is going to go either way for A13. Triumph and a mass of apologies or an efests forum career ender :S

These people are usually the ones we remember and have long prosperous forum careers as opposed to them being ended. We do love a villain here on efestivals.

They would have no other choice but to resign.

I actually think I prefer the announcements like this, in small chunks rather than all at one go. Means I pay more attention to the 'lesser' areas of the fest and it's also easier to digest all of the information, if that makes sense.

Having said that, I think if they outright from the start said, 'we'll have a full festival line-up (i.e. with times etc.) by this date but will be revealing each significant area one-by-one in the build up', it would cause less frustration from people.

as much as i want the lineup like everyone else do you realise what you're asking? when i got up this morning i had no idea i was having sausages for tea tonight, so piss off expecting them to have a lovely lineup for you and a date for when its ready by. they'll book the bands, you just turn up and watch them, ok?

edit: they dont owe you anything. booking bands for the biggest festival in the world is hard.

From the sound of it i think its the other way around. Most large bands that are interviewed if they are playing at glasto say that they are just waiting for that call from Eavis and its a done deal (as long as they are available).

Getting the bands to agree is the easy part, paperwork is probably a bastard to do

yeah thats what i mean, its a big thing to do. people seem to want stage times down to when kanye west is going to use a portaloo and the festival is more than a month away. just enjoy the build up!

Not true. He asked me to play last year and I said no.

I've heard from a pal that the full lineup is most likely going to be "at the end of the month" i.e. not this week.

They are someone who would know as they are directly involved in the running but I expect this is through the grapevine a bit.

    • Love him in in the next interview to say. "Oh f**k off i give up, what's the point in trying it's far to hard. Let some other c**t have go and see how they get on" Unplugs mic and wonders off
    • and still twenty one pilots must have a very persuasive management team, unless they are still rearranging the schedule, still seems really odd.
    • Phew, been waiting a while for a statement like this.     Well at least a few days since the last one
    • And there we go.  Bleech 9:3 added
    • The only number I can find is 90k, but it doesn't really break it down in the way you're asking so it is up in the air in that regard. My only thing here is that I don't think Leeds is in danger or is flagging in sales. I thought last year had an awful lineup so I opted out but apparently a hell of a lot of people decided to go, so I really do believe it is just us lot all being out of touch with what the modern R&L audience wants.   I do think this year has a good lineup although I know a lot of people on here disagree with that, so I am gonna be there and we shall see what it is like on the ground this year in terms of attendance.
