Stereophonics

Think Glastonbury would have them, but probably in relatively low-down slots (i feel that they'd be the kind of band Glasto would want to slip in as other-stage subs). While they still get good slots at T and V, there just isn't an incentive.

I'd be happy to indulge in some nostalgia if they did appear, though.

Would love to see them headline the other stage on the saturday, while the yoof's are being mildly entertained at the pyramid with borderline mediocrity. The setlist at the Albert hall lastnight looked excellent

I don't like Kanye much at all, but in the Stereophonics thread? Think you might have this one the wrong way around!

Personally loved this song

So do I!

I think considering that they headlined 2002 and could come back to play a much less prolific slot could be quite interesting.

I think that their music is pretty good! They have some belters.

Worst song. Ever recorded. In living history.

Obviously not though is it? It's one of their poorer tunes but it's not atrocious. Their back catalogues is superb and the 20 or so tracks they could put in a headline set would be immense!

For the record....Fireflies, by Owl City, is the worst song ever made.. :D

Saw them at (I think) V99. Swerved them for Orbital at Glastonbury 2002, then swerved them again at V2002. Not had the inclination to see them since. Not consciously avoided them but have had the chance to see them a few times in the intervening years and always chose something else. My subconscious don't like them.

They are a bit like that album you buy, listen to once and then never seem to get around to putting on ever again.

As has been said before, they seem to pop up t every other TITP and every other V so I wouldn't read anything into that. They could play Glasto but equally they could not, would be a bit of a boring booking in my view. Headlining other would be where they'd be if they were to play.

We don't talk about them anymore, a dark chapter in Welsh history indeed. Which is a shame because I actually quite liked them.

i had a sudden urge to listen to their entire discography a couple of weeks back and felt so bad for loving every minute of it. such a fond memory of my youth tainted

Same, I had A Town Called Hyprocrisy stuck in my head one day and I really wanted to just give Liberation Transmission a revisit but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Feel bad for the rest of the band mind, their lives' work is tainted.

They'd be a superb headliner. Bit confused as to why people are suggesting they're only worthy for 3rd down the bill or maybe just the Other Stage. Am I missing something? Mumford and Sons headlined Glastonbury. This is one of the best British bands of the past 20 years!

Were you on the ale all day?

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
