Rainfall Totals
blogentry-213-0-85340300-1435084230_thum
The latest GFS suggests a total of 4mm of rainfall for the festival. Although some ensembles are a bit higher, perhaps as much as 10mm but even that is not too bad.

Summary
Hopefully it will be a great Glastonbury for all of you lucky people going. To answer the obvious question to anyone asking do I take my wellies, off course you do, but also takes your suncream to cover all eventualities.

Bbc is now showing pilton as having rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday. FFS

It's light rain showers, the BBC will show rain on their general summary if there's a chance of even a shower at any point throughout the day, don't be concerned

Important thing to remember with BBC is if there is 0.1mm of rain, they will put a rain drop on the forecast - not worth paying attention to this far out.

How much rain was there last year in mm

44 according to pedmills

Yeah cheers guys. Accuweather saying about 6 mm across the whole of Friday to Sunday so nothing really. Dry the first two days though

Met office forecast for the site itself still looking promising

Low probability % of rain, and judging from Jackone and Starks' charts/graphs, low rainfall in terms of mm. Nothing inconsistent with what's been predicted over the last few days.

    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
    • Looking forward to Doja Cat letting us all know what is going on later on today. It is a good job that somebody is keeping us informed.
    • They've got a few gigs in Dec/Jan.  Hoping to pick up a couple of tickets for Margate later today
