I know this is the final headliner announcement, but is this the final announcement altogether?

I was really hoping for Wolf Alice, Royal Blood and Catfish and the Bottlemen, particularly seems as CatB are doing so many other festivals this summer.

no, its just the final mainstage headliner. Pretty sure we've got all the NME headliners & 2 Pit headliners as well though.

God only knows who we'll get to top FR this year, Wombats and Frank turner were absolutely brilliant choices last year.

Na there's a some more announcements to come. Royal Blood won't be playing this year, and I don't think there's room on the lineup for Catfish. I expect they'll get a big slot in 2017 tho. Wolf Alice could still play I guess.

Yeah I wasn't really expecting Royal Blood to be honest, I think they're just focussing on their new album this summer.

But the exclusion of CatB seems really odd, their reception last year at Leeds was insane, the NME stage was absolutely packed out. Plus their new album is coming out soon, I can't see why R&L would overlook them.

When will we be getting the placings? No idea why they've announced the line-up using this format.

Probably because saturday main is the only day so far that may actually look full and/or anywhere near strong.

Putting up the other days in the usual format may make it look week as fuck, or they're just trying to be 'edgy'..

I'd guess they'll put a day split poster up with the next announcement when it (hopefully) looks more filled out.

Far too low but you've only moved them up one slot?

They're still to low, but if Neil is right with HAIM, I don't see how they get the slot higher, as I doubt EODM will not be on main, and EODM are a touch bigger than Parkway, unless of course, Courteeners are in the tent and HAIM are 3rd down....

Parkway Drive are bigger than EODM. Sold out Brixton on their last tour. EODM were playing considerably smaller venues. I do think they'll play after Parkway though for whatever reason.

I'm not sure if Crossfaith will play main. The poster reads them being on after Skindred but as they were support for their tour recently that'd make so sense.

Courteeners are confirmed as third down. HAIM will be fourth. I think that both Slaves & EODM will play the NME.

That wouldn't be the worse for me if EODM and Slaves clash with one of Haim, Courteeners or Imagine Dragons, just not convinced EODM won't play main.

I think EODM will be above PWD simply because of the day they're on and it being RnL rather than download (they also sold out the Apollo IIRC, and they were great :P), also the (horrendous) Paris incident has given them huge free PR, so they're probably a fair bit bigger now.

Where do you get two headers worth £100, RHCP are about £50 along with Biffy who are a cheaper heaf at £35, and that below 3 isn't worth £50, Slaves are the size that you would get as support for someone placed where Chvrches are.

We get it you dont like the line up personally. You also don't have the ability to see things objectively.

Including fees going to see rhcp would be £60 biffy £40.

Recently I went to TOP tour and tickets were £16.50 FV £19-20 including fees. Sold out tour that tickets were going on second hand seller sites for upwards of £50.Similar story for the Slaves gig and in Chvrches at £25 is there's more than £65 factor in less stage time £50 is about right.

TOP just sold out around 40k tickets for their tour. They are massively on the up. Next album theyl probably step up to arenas. If yhey were to release tickets now theyd sell at approx £30.

He was shite on the Relentless Stage at Leeds last year. Was really looking forward to him and then he played a really boring set.

Yeah, and regardless, there's going to better things on at the end of the day than him, so he's irrelevant :P Am I the only one who really dislikes these people headlining stages and doing well when they don't really even produce and play their own stuff? It would have been far better having somebody like Netsky headline the stage again.

DJ EZ is gonna be fun fun fun

I bet a few years ago you didn't think you'd ever be excited about watching some old pirate radio DJ spin Daniel Bedingfield at Reading.

As long as the music's good and you can have a good time at the set, why does who produces it matter

Does anyone else think that Five Finger Death Punch is a really odd booking? They aren't the kind of heavy act that I would expect to go down well at R&L.

Yep, but when I saw them on the bill I figured FR are probably trying to put them about and shepherd them up the lineups. They're the absolute pits. Terrible.

I just think that it takes a lot more talent to produce your own music and then make it entertaining live, not to say he doesn't have talent, but most people could mix in popular track or interesting tracks to get a crowd going, also he was boring and crap last year :P

It's odd in the sense that they're supposedly getting pushed up the download bill in view to get them to headliner size and status, coupled with how low they are seemingly going to be on the bill, and on a day with not a great deal similar to them, but I don't care, they're ace and I can't wait to see them and the crowd watching go WTF? haha :)

Agreed. They're woeful. I really can't imagine them getting a good crowd. They're too much of a 'Download band'.

This is the worst Leeds fest line up I have ever seen. At least before I could kind of see what they were trying to do, this year I have no idea. Fall out boy being named co headliners to make Biffy's booking justified? They played in 13 everyone was fuming when Blink got announced after only 4 years last time so if its a co headline then are we supposed to be stupid enough to forget that. Nevertheless Biffy are amazing and I wont compalin too much there. Then there is the undercard which its understandably hard to grasp fully without the stage splits however it reflects how incompetent the bookers have become at their job.

Meh, last year was worse simply because The Libertines and Mumford & Sons are that fucking shit, Metallica almost single handedly saved last year, also 2014 was worse due to Jake Bugg and Macklemore being so high up the bill, and the NME being utter shit. Also we don't know stage splits and who is still left to be added, which doesn't help it look strong. But actually having 2 great and a decent headliner this year means it trumps last year. Ever headliner this year is better than those two crap acts last year.
