Weezer were great last night. They again said "see you at reading and Leeds and Glasto" if that's not self confirming i dunno what is.

Yeah I would imagine they are booked for Leeds and Reading this year and Glastonbury for 2017. Let's hope they are announced in 2 weeks when 60/70 more bands added to bill

weezer would make the slightly higher up acts area look a lot better. weakest area in the lineup tbh. smaller acts and headliners are pretty strong imo

We've had it in the first big announcement in previous years. I'd assume it'll come in the next announcement but that's not definite.

i think everyone is, it's the first time they've done that weird announcement poster without stage splits and running order i believe. so its a bit unpredictable but i'd imagine they'd give us the running order with the next announcement

Cheers guys, would make planning a bit easier.

To be fair to them it makes no sense to release the bands' placements so early. It leads to daft slots like Royal Blood on the NME tent at 2pm in 2014, where a band gets big in between being announced and the weekend of the festival.

They sometimes get moved though, for example strokes when the first album came out.

haha, i know it's not really relevant but half the shit said on here isn't really so i though i might as well ask.

fair assessment, just hope he doesn't jump in with his guitar to providence like he used to and impale someones head with it.

he still does this! Did this when I saw him at Hippodrome last November.

source; it was me he landed on.

It's normally out by now, but they have changed the format this year, I'm hoping that's because they have some bigger names and surprise bands up their sleeve but it could be just that the line up isn't that great this year!

First post here, but was just wondering if there was any foundation to Weezer saying they're playing R&L this year wouldn't they have been added to the rumours by now? Would make the top of the poster look a lot better for me and I assume a lot of other people :D

it would make that sub/higher up acts area look a lot stronger yeah, i don't know about why efests haven't put it as a rumour but it could be that they think it's 2017 rather than this year that they are perfoming

What is everyone expecting/hoping for from the RHCP single? As my favourite band ever, I'm praying it's Stadium Arcadium-esc, but judging by I'm With You, I'm not too confident. Flea said it will be 'super-danceable', so maybe a funkier, older style?

please be BSSM like, still there best album to this date i think. Suck my kiss is such a banger live as well, pisses me off that they don't play live often now. also has under the bridge on it which is a lot of peoples faveourite RHCP song.

I reckon it's going to be pretty incomparable to any of their previous albums. It's their first album since 1989 not to be produced by Rick Rubin and there's also reports that Elton John is going to appear on the album, which sounds like nothing they've done in the past. Josh will also be more settled in the band now and so may have found his sound, which he possibly hadn't nailed with I'm With You. Also, Nigel Godrich is mixing the album. It sounds like a complete change of approach from the previous albums and I'm intrigued to see how it turns out.
