I've met too many people from this site without having been to an eFests meet.

Kaos, Wessex/Placid, Spud 3 times, 2R2D (and drunkenly sent him pics on WhatsApp of me on a night out), RAI (unknowingly), Matt Davies, some guy from the Glasto section I camped with  (friend of a friend but he doesn't know I'm on here), Badlands (again, unknowingly, shared my rum with him through SFA at Glasto).

Edit: Oh yeah Kemosabe is in my uni halls.

Tbf a fair few follow/followed each other on Twitter rather than posting on here to meet up haha.

I'll explain all of mine:

- Went to see Neutral Milk Hotel on my own and saw Kaos tweeted me saying where he was stood so I went and had a chat before they came on

- Wessex/Placid had no one to go out with final night at Glasto so came out with my friends (again, followed each other on twitter so wasn't planned through here)

- Spud I met 3 times accidentally. First time in the middle of a pit during Metallica and he screamed in my face. Second in the crowd before Dolly Parton. Third time I saw him as soon as I walked through the door at Muse at Manchester Academy (recognised because Twitter)

- 2R2D sold me a NIN ticket 

- Met RAI after Metallica when speaking to Spud (didn't know until later on)

- As I said, bumped into Matt Davies in a bar queue at Foals and recognised him because Twitter

- Badlands was baffling. Found out a week after Glastonbury we were stood in the same spot during Super Furry Animals. Asked if he was near a 19 year old guy passing rum around and it turned out he was stood next to me sharing my rum

If the line up didn't look disappointing before, half the major acts are also at Glastonbury...

Foals, Disclosure, The 1975, Chvrches, Jack Garratt and Two Door all there, Reading really needs to sort it's shit out and announce some more decent acts. Next year needs to be better, the only "exclusives" I can really see are Biffy and FOB.

They even took TDCC's exclusive too.

I did say how bad it would look on R&L if they had Discloure as well. Both are subs headliner bookings that R&L has fucked up on.....proof is there to see.

If you're going to Glasto you probably have no reason now to bother with a day ticket for that day as it's all bloody at Glasto.

It doesn't make Glasto stronger  y having them as subs....that's where they should be, it does make the other look incredibly weak!

5FDP aren't playing anywhere else. Biffy are doing Glasgow summer sessions along with FOB. I'd be disappointed if I was going Glasto. Man that looks lame.

it's only a tiny bit of the line-up tho.

The gems are normally not the headline stuff, and hopefully this year will be no different.

But the 3 headliners? Not my bag (tho they never are), but 3 of the biggest acts in the world? They might be a bit on the dull side, but they're still impressive.

Muse was a great coup by Glasto, Coldplay and Adele although predictable and not to my taste are huge acts, can fault Glastonbury when it's meant to be a festival for all music

which it is - that's merely three acts. If you want real diversity you wouldn't go near the main stage anyway.

Most years it's more genre-diverse in its headliners, and this year is a bit less-so. But so what? There's not many festivals who'd turn away any of the three acts, and them all arriving in the same year is more a consequence of what the acts want to do than Glastonbury looking to be less diverse.
