There is a lot of speculation about a new Last Shadow Puppets album dropping later this year, could we see them playing next year maybe?

I doubt it, even if they do put one out which is unlikely Arctic Monkeys are meant to be back at it by next year anyway.

Yeah it's not the sort of thing they'd tour the hell out of, particularly right up until the end of the festival season. It'll just be fans speculating because there's a new picture of Alex Turner and Miles Kane or something.

Yeah I agree about the touring aspect, but I do hope for another album

The last thing I read about Miles Kane's next album said it would be out in November (probably just speculation right enough) and it'd be strange for him to release it at the same time as a Last Shadow Puppets album given it would inevitably overshadow his solo album.

Pretty convinced that Foo fighters and Foals will be 2 of the headliners next year, generally not sure who the 3rd one would be but Gorillaz seem like a possibility (Red hot chili peppers seem like a bit of a push if Foo fighters are already there).

Florence seems a surerer bet than those two imo, unless somethings happened in my week without the internet

not R/L related, but anyone been EDC this year? If so, what are the crowds like? is it full with steroid filled idiots?

my friends went. It was a decent atmosphere in parts but quite a lot of dickheads. They said it was a standard wireless esque crowd

    • on another note, 3 weeks too early to tell weather wise, apparently they are expecting a heat wave soon but that will have probably past by the time rw comes around. Grim england this week, doesn't really set the hope too well right now but we'll see.
    • I don't think that the insider has ever got much wrong so it does seem like we'll be getting another act, rw always seem to be pretty good listening to feedback, probably why retention is so high so I guess if they can fill that final slot they will, always looked a bit strange on the schedule
    • There is a misconception that off-site camping is run by neighbouring land owners. The majority rent fields off the land owners (Camp Kerela, Pop Up, Ziggu etc), so yes a farmer may make a few quid more renting to a camping company but relationships with Michael et al mean most prefer to rent to the festival. None of the festival's off-site camping is on their own land; Worthy View, Sticklynch, Campervan East, B&W.    Holt Farm is Steanbow Farms land, so it is likely they would rent to the festival rather than a third party.
