Coldplay 2015

I will be fairly happy if it is Coldplay. I think they're a great band, but chose chemical brothers over them last time in what was a tough decision for me! Would love to see them at glastonbury, although it is definitely an unusually unimaginative booking by glastonbury's standards

Yup. To be fair it would take something pretty drastic for me to sack off the weekend entirely, but some of our group have moved to Canada and the transatlantic crossing might prove an insurmountable obstacle if all that's waiting for them at the end of it is FooPlay & the Machine.

Fair enough. It's good with Glastonbury that they release all the other goodies at the same time they release the headliners unlike many other fests so (I imagine) it's hard to stay too hung up on the Pyramid headliners when there are dozens of other acts to fawn over.

It's an open secret their next album will be Coldplays last, this to me seems like a goodbye headline slot from a band who have a long history with the festival.

Outside chance it might be the last large gig they do. They did very little touring (if any) for Ghost Stories, a few promo small gigs. Then again there is rumours of stadium tours so I'm probably miles off.

Bloody hell the Coldplay nerds were right.

Feel sorry for the Mexican fan coming over.

Thanks for caring! but don't feel sorry for me! Actually it's my first time that I will go to London and Paris as a trip, Glastonbury is just an extra, and I love so many bands, I really like Foo Fighters and would love to see other acts, so Coldplay was just a plus, but you never know with those guys :D!

I will also go to Summertime to see Blur one week before Glasto!

I really hope so :)!!! Actually all my trip-planning started with the idea of going to Glastonbury which is one of my biggest dreams, I would say the biggest one regarding to music... What I mean as an "extra" is that I really enjoy a lot of bands that I'm pretty sure Glasto will have many of them (not all bands come to my city so often), so I'm sure I'll be surprised and Glasto will be my highlight :D

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
