What a pickle you are in.

Have to say its terrible that not one of your group spoke up and made sure she was in the same group going for tickets as yourself.

Hope you manage to get her a ticket in the resale. In the meantime however you all have a lot of making up to do.

Let this story fall back a bit on the forum.... and then remind us all in April and everyone with a spare space in their group will help you with a ticket.

Ill bring a bottle (plastic) of champers and we can celebrate in the west camper van field!

T

Unfortunately I have run out of up votes. The above has hit the nail on the head really.

The fact that people replied seriously to this and the Segway one makes me worry about you all!

Some times you just have to go with the flow. Remember WWJD? Great stuff (and I suspect the same person may be behind the segway thread).

I think it's a physical keyboard typo. I type it all the time. I think it's because as you type the word, your little finger is resting just over the "a", but your right index finger has been dragged away from the "n" by pressing the "i". Result, the "a" is pressed sooner than it should, inverting the "n" and "a", making certainty seem like opposition.

I hate to say it (but I'm going to anyway...) there's no "a" in definitely! ;)

Hello All,

I am the ticketless bride to be and unfortunately the story is true, so a big thank you to everyone who has offered to help…you are very kind.

Also, thanks to whoever posted the picture of Captain John Luc Picard, it made us laugh a lot! Once the bitter disappointment had eased up that is exactly how I felt!

Unfortunately the number of our family and friends is not perfectly divisible by 6, so we played the odds and failed. Doh!

And to Russycarps, I actually consider myself a very lucky lady for having such a considerate future husband, who wrote something punningly awesome and put himself out there for me!

We hope everyone else who is also trying for Glastonbury tickets gets lucky in the resale!!

And I wonder how many people do that with their sob story, either genuine or made up. I'm sure they just can't go giving tickets out willy nilly when people have missed out by trying to go down the correct route.

A week in a tent at Glasto is hardly the ideal clean environment for all that honeymoon shagging.

Amateurs.

I did Glasto as my stag do.

Post enhanced immeasurably by accompanying profile pic.

    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
