Indie discos after headliners

The south east corner is brilliant, but I love my indie/rock music and the south east corner is full of dance music.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to where I should be heading for this sort of music after the headliners?

Chameleon bar - Propoganda DJs

There was also a rock bar and, I believe, a cheesey pop bar in Shangri La this year.

Not neccessarily, the Rum Shack play all sorts of music and the Rocket Lounge plays rock and roll and blues till the wee hours.

Chameleon bar in main market near pyramid does this (or at least used to, didn't go there this year) plus you may have luck in some of the other bars around the central area.

I was surprised how much dance music there is at a festival with so much guitar music! The Rabbit Hole was good popular guitar music though after Arcade Fire when Dermot O'Leary was DJ-ing.

One of the two channels in the silent disco is usually fairly indie disco slanted.

Chameleon has Propaganda DJs every night, so did the silent disco.

Yeah I went in that propaganda set at chameleons bar. Good music, but every so often they'd chuck in a right cheesy track. We need more indie discos at glastonbury. Get this to Eavis. A proper indie/rock area. There's the glade, most of the SE corner and Arcadia. So why not!

Hate to say it but V Stafford used to have the best Indie Disco.

On the Thursday night they would open up their main tent

10 indie classics in a row and they would always finish with the weekends headliners.

we ended up in a bar in Shangri La on the Sunday at about 1 or 2 am going mental to some old indie/ punk pop tunes, The Only Ones/ Dexys stuff like that. Was tremendous. Wish I could remember more of it but I was a bit battered.

Explore site a little - Green Futures has great late night stuff. Lizard Lounge djs play pop/indie staples.

Ended up in HMS Sweet Charity on the Monday morning dancing to vintage jazz and jump blues - Cab Calloway shellac sort of stuff. Have had worse ways to end the weekend.

Back in the bad old days of Glastonbury past, you'd have to make do with plain old conversations around a campfire as post-stage entertainment. If you were really unlucky, somebody would have brought along a guitar to strum.

I agree that some indie \ rock stuff would have been great at various times! Needs must, on occasions!
