Foo Fighters

Florence + The Machine

Kanye West

Pharrell Williams

The Who

Paul Weller

Alt-J

It's only when you lay it out like this that you realise it is a pretty strong lineup, and I'm sure we predicted it at some points to be much worse than it is!

People still think this is a good lineup???

Massive let down.

Realistically what are you expecting?

Probably the biggest current touring rock band, one of the most talked about pop stars(for various reasons, include mass success) ever and one of the biggest bands in the history of British music, touring on their 50th anniversary

Fucking terrible glastonbury, do better next year!!

I'm not fussed on the first two headliners and I'm 70/30 on seeing the Who/ Weller though , I am interested, I just want to see what clashes there are! Personally I think it's a bloody good line up.

So that's 100% seeing The Who and Weller then!

Headliners aside I think it's pretty weak. Specially looking at those subs. Don't really mind about the lineup myself know I'll be having a good time regardless. Just facing facts it's not as good as it has been previous years.

haha, Foo Fighters.

I would say Florence is a very strong sub, she could be headlining, if was discussed for long enough, Pharrell and Weller il be elsewhere, they aren't the strongest, il give you that, but there's also tens of other stages still to be announced, that will have tremendous alternatives, it's too easy to say it's a poor line up because of two weak sub headliners, when the rest of the line up, as per discussed when it was announced, is really quite good

Florence was touted as a possible headliner (would have been horrific but still...) So I would say that's a pretty good sub. Phrarell and Weller are pretty big too... Maybe not the most mindblowing subs ever but I don't think they are out of place. Pharell has had a few of the biggest hits in the world in recent years as well as some successful old stuff (if only he could sing it would be great).

It's only when you lay it out like this that I realise I will probably not see the Pyramid stage all weekend with the exception of walking past it

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
    • Never happen, but an Annie Lennox solo or Eurythmics reunion would make me very happy.
