i wouldn't have thought so, his speedy departure after announcing leaving suggests that this week is pretty final, maybe not entirely of his own choosing, but that's just me speculating.

Didnt they announce last year on 6 music in the morning and then just release the poster on social media. There was no big announcment on radio 1 like reading and leeds do.

The Guardian will "accidentally" post the line up at 2:30pm on Thursday 2nd leading to the official website putting it up within 30 minutes.

Are big line-up announcements always accompanied by promo on Radio 1?

Last year it came in two lots.

The first I don't think was on any radio show and came 4th April.

Zane then did the Metallica thing later in April and the full line up dropped

Every year things have been a little different, but this year is playing out exactly how I've always believed they want, everything kept as quiet as possible until as close to balance payment day as they can manage.

I am now finding it excruciating. I just want to know...something, anything.

Maybe he is just going to eat an apple, he thinks 'Ive retired from radio, so I'm going to eat a nice juicy apple, it's going to be big and I'm going to take my time eating it, no rush, plenty of apple time now'.

I look forward to seeing the lineup poster design and I remember being disappointed with the first one they released last year.

The second ,more detailed one was much better.

You need to be more worried about the eFestivals April Fools' along with the actual lineup reveal if it were to happen on the 1st.
