Thought England were okish on Saturday, defence is obviously shakey but with the thunder storm break and that...I don't think we can take to much away from it.

The one thing I think we can is that Henderson has got to play - every game!

But there's little point him chasing down players if there's no one that's going to take advantage of the ball that pings out from it - which is why we need Sterling to play.

You serious? So his job as an international footballer is to run around a bit ?

Pretty much, yeah.

He's very very good at it, that's the point. He creates the changes in play for his own team to exploit.

(and now and then he also puts thru a fantastic ball - as good as any other player ever manages).

Henderson is England's saviour?

The things you learn...

Not because he's particularly great, but because the others aren't either.

I'll go a fiver on a chariteee bet if you like? That he'll be the most effective England player against Italy.

(Of course, "most effective" is very subjective, but I'm happy to leave that to your own judgement and sense of fairness to call me right or wrong :))

Lets be honest though... Anything short of winning the whole bloody thing and you will be on here claiming your bullshit was right :)

I made a very categorical statement about Henderson, and nowt else.

Either he'll be England's most effective player against Italy, or he won't be.

I'd thought that even someone as brain dead as you couldn't get mixed up over something so simple, but you have done. That took a special level of stupidity to manage.

Nah, TBF Neil has said they wont get past the groups stages, so if they do you can then shout, point and laugh at him that his "shit was wrong"

But most people and bookies would agree with him so you will have to shout, point and laugh at a lot of people then.

The only things that give England the glimmer of hope is lady luck and an injured Suarez. Not impossible..........but not likely

It's not quite just that. We have some players to give us some hope, but whether those players actually get a kick to make a difference is another thing.

And i've not said it's impossible for us to get out of the groups - how the other teams perform on the day matters too - but it certainly looks like the least-likely group for us to get out of in a WC for quite a while.

    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
