A couple of juicy bits of info here.

...interestingly more people returned their tickets last year, even though the Rolling Stones had been announced, than this year when one of the headliners hasn't been revealed yet. I suppose I just want people to come and it does not matter who is playing...

I think the number of people that know you can ask for a refund in May are tiny. It's buried in the terms and conditions and I'd imagine the vast majority would see the deposit payment week as their only chance to decide if they're in or out.

Is there some law or something that states you have to announce the full lineup and give people a cooling off period whereby they can ask for a refund or not? Otherwise I cant work out why they do the May refund thing, it doesn't seem to do the festival any favours and essentially gives people who have a deposit two chances to say no.

I think the option for refund up to 9th May is because of the ID tickets and not being able to sell or pass on tickets. Unless covered by the limited insurance if peoples plans change they will have pretty much thrown away £200.

I like the idea of not knowing who's playing til I arrive - but I doubt even the Eavi could manage to keep it all a secret!
