favourite headliners from 2005-2013?

I know people on here crap all over the performance but Muse 2010 was magic for me, probably the best headliner experience Ive had at Glasto, the part of the crowd we were in were really up for it which added to it. Neil Young a close second in 2009

Neil Young was better than (how I imagine) an orgy with AKB48.

You should look them up... (I mean pictures, not their music).

Edit - Wiki says they some of their 89 members are in their early teens... I should have been clear and pointed out that they were not involved in said (imaginary) orgy.

I've only been from '10-'14. So my favourite pyramid headliners have been Stevie Wonder, and Gorillaz.

But Neil Young looked utterly sublime! I watched it on TV and was enthralled by him. I now own all of his albums and am a massive fan. Wish I could have been there in person. and obviously Blur.

I've become increasingly disinterested in Pyramid headliners though. The best headline performance I've ever seen, best gig i've ever seen was Portishead last year though. That would be my favourite headliner.

Neil Young 2009

Iggy Pop & the Stooges 2007

Roy Ayers 2005

Stevie Wonder 2010

Spiritualized Acoustic 2007

I liked Public enemy last year too. And Flaming Lips 2010, and Jimmy Cliff 2008, and Baaba Maal 2005... Hmm... it's really hard to narrow it down to a few, I've enjoyed most of my headliners and chose who to see well!

Didn't go in 2005 (didn't even watch it on telly).

Pyramid: Stones > Blur > Muse = Arctics (13) > Springsteen > The Verve > Arctics (07) > The Killers > sitting in the field next door to Stevie Wonder because it was so full >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> U2

Others: Doves > QOTSA > Bootleg Beatles (07 & 10) = Pete Doherty > Biffy Clyro > watching nothing on Sunday night last year >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chemical Brothers

2011 was a massive let down headliner wise save for QOTSA.

May I ask why those years only? Anyway, mine are:

Chemical brothers (DJ Set) (2005)

The Who (2007)

Blur/Jarvis (2009)

Stevie Wonder (2010)

Chemical Brothers (2011)

Chic (2013)

My favourite out of all of those was probably Stevie Wonder or The Chemicals (2011).... hard to say!

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
