tonight is my last jackone forecast before i leave. i have heaps of clothing and sock options all good to go depending on what he says. i've even borrowed waterproof trousers.

*tippy-tap*

this is nerve-wracking.

Tonight's my last forecast viewing too- I'll have no access to internet after that as I'll be taking a crappy old phone to glastonbury to appear more rustic and less technology dependant than I actually am! Edited by Mr.Tease

Since people were listing their feelings on the weather over the last decade, I thought I'd share my feelings.

2005: started off as a scorcher but when I woke up on the Friday it was doom and gloom. As a 14 year old, it felt like the apocalypse. Just standing water everywhere. How much mm of rain fell in those few hours?

2007: dear lord, it never stopped. It's the one Glastonbury I don't remember much of, I must have blocked it out.

2008: just remember it raining on the Thursday and the rest being great.

2009: can't remember it being that bad.

2010: what a year! The weather just transcended the festival into something special. My favourite year without a doubt.

2011: it rained Friday night, was in my tent and then watched Fatboy Slim in the dance tent so hardly noticed it. Wasn't that muddy was it?

Turned beautiful on the Sunday.

2013: Wednesday was glorious, don't remember much rain.

Love the Yr. but no forecast... is there a reason we should trust it more than the others, or is it just optimism?

The excitement that it's almost glastonbury time is starting to overtake the pre glastonbury anxiety, leading to us to believing what we want to believe!

Torrential rain & thunderstorms here since 4pm today - maybe this is the low doing a quick swoop over the country & back to sunshine all the way tomorrow?

Come on jackone...

You'd better not live anywhere near glastonbury!

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
