Why did I have it in my brain that countryfile was on around midday?

It used to be a few years ago before moving to Sunday evening 'for the farmers'...a replacement called "Countrywise" was broadcast for a while.

The one on Sunday lunchtime is a re-run of the previous week.

Posted similar last week but don't mind doing so again. BBC weather say's it is raining here in NE8 and it's bright sunshine. If they can't get the weather right now I wouldn't worry about what they think it'll do next week.

you must live real close to me... im in NE8, gateshead :)

The main thing I'm getting from this thread is that The Nal didn't like what a close call it was getting his ticket this year and he is trying to ensure it's easier next year ;) and that we still don't really know what kind of weather we'll be havig yet.

I predict it has peaked too soon but won't be awful either. I'm happy with this.

Plus, he owes me a hundred quid.....he'll deny it of course. ;)

Think the latest charts are showing mostly dry weather, which is different from what they were showing this morning. Would expect a 5/6 from Jackone this evening, based on the fact it could still swing either way for next weekend

All eyes on the ECM 12 run I guess as everything else it pointing more towards unsettled and some periods of rain.

I reckon there's a few days until we get a good picture - nothing like the blissful stability of last year

As said by others the run up is nicely dry so the ground will have some capacity to withstand rain

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
