It's up. Back to a 5 :D

http://forum.netweather.tv/blog/189/entry-4782-glastonbury-festival-2014-25-to-29-june-forecast-no-10-issued-17-june/

Summary

Positives
The GFS runs and ensembles are more drier than yesterday
Pressure is forecast to be higher than yesterday

Neutral
The Upper Charts keep an upper ridge close to the UK
he GFS and Ensembles although drier than yesterday, and not completely dry
ECM has high pressure to start which slowly weakens over the festival

Negatives
Not many today especially compared to recent runs

A reversal since yesterday and the score improves back to 5.0 and solely on today's runs it be better than that again, bit keeping at 5.0 on a trend basis. 0=Dustbowl, 10 = Heatwave Scale

The latest ECM charts are very good. I envisage an improving picture and a potential heatwave from The Wednesday onwards. I would imagine an improvement this evening from JackOne to a 4

Edit... It's out! I'm more positive than that!

Thing is with J10 and no disrespect to him as I love what he does but he's not taking into account the current weather regarding 10=mud bath. It would have to be a heck of a lot of a rain given the current ground conditions. Last year we had plenty of rain on Thurs and barely touched the site

To be fair to him, he has admitted before that having never been to Glastonbury he doesnt have a great idea exactly what effect the weather has on conditions. A better scale might be Washout to Heatwave

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
