I'm from ooop norf. Mate texted me last night saying he'll treat me if I fancied it. Not sorted tix for rock city so I of course said yes please. Iconic venue (that faith no more video became unwatchable due to the amount of times I'd watched it) so buzzing about the whole experience

It's a good venue and some ok pubs nearby too. I'll keep my eyes open for a northern ruffian

From the Melbourne gig the other night. It was immense. Nearly 2 and a quarter hours. They also finished with Tangled Up In Blue (which wasn't on the setlist). Spoke to their soundman after who said they might be going out and to ask their tour manager if they were. Directed me over and I only ended up chatting with Adam who said they were off to Old Bar (cool dive bar in Fitzroy) and to pop along. I was going to but sacked it off as I'd gone to the gig on my own and thought it'd be a bit...weird fan boy esque shit. So I went home and had a pie.

Gonna buy tickets for their Brixton gig if I get some money off Santa.

Absolutely in love with their latest album, as is everybody it seems. But what are the first two like? Which one should I listen to next?

as much as I love 'lost in the dream', their previous Slave Ambient is my fave of theirs. just some of their best stuff on there, like Lost in The City (in addition to the build-in 'animator' and the immediate follow up Come For it, and then later the reprieve City Reprise #12) and even while overplayed a bit, 'Brothers' the studio version just comes across so much better on record than live i think...Your Love Is Calling My Name, which has me thinking of U2 in 'Unforgettable Fire' mode, ('Wire' perhaps?)...Baby Missiles...

get Slave Ambient.

Shoot us a PM if you do, I've got 2 tickets for the first Brixton gig which I can't use. Obviously only looking for face value of £25 each.

As for which album next, Slave Ambient.

all those who watched Kaiser Chiefs will have to wait another year to see War On Drugs:

Friday 26th June 2015 - OpenAir St.Gallen

Saturday 27th June 2015 - Rock Werchter

Sunday 28th June 2015 - Down The Rabbit Hole

I thought they were terrific last year.

didn't think they'd be back. going to see them over the Other opener / Blondie last year was one of the best festival decisions i've ever made

Going to see Blondie over seeing TWOD was the worst festival decision I made last year.

Luckily I knew I would be seeing them at Latitude. Also have tickets for them in Brighton shortly
