I also have to say I have never considered Kanye West as an interesting topic of discussion. Sometimes an appropriate person to reference when discussing topics such as overinflated egos, douche-bag celebrities, how rap is changed for the worse, things that epitomise what is wrong with the world today etc.

Just seen on a different forum that somebody spoke to Michael Eavis the other day and that's he's confirmed that Kanye West is booked to be a headliner, and the lineup is going to be released 26th March? Who knows... could all be Chinese whispers and rumours

Kanye west is definitely "poppier" than the usual rock acts ... and isn't as big as Gaga/Rihanna from the hints Neil has. Could it be him? I think he would take a slot under Prince, especially given Glasto's notoriety over Wireless. Although Jay Z got to headline, so maybe his ego wouldn't allow for a sub slot.

No. He's not doing Glasto, 100%.

Or alternatively, it's bollocks.

Kanye is not booked for Glastonbury.

Line-up is not being announced on 26th.

These are things I know. :)

I will take your wise words as the truth kind Sir! Do you have a date for when the lineup is being announced, per chance?

Does that mean you have a hunch of when the Line up will be announced?

I am going bet Neil's been told something like "It will be late this year" rather than a date.

Queue us getting a suprise at 9pm tonight :P

I think everyone on this forum should have a communal 'Agree to disagree' on whether acts or good or not

Then we lose the battle against the bellend who thinks that Mumford and Sons are good and Neil Young is bad. Sometimes it's not subjective, and sometimes people wont see reason.

*selfishly prays it's kanye or someone else weak who might reduce ticket sales a bit in the resale so I'm marginally more likely to get one*

Mainly because massive attack and hopefully pixies are on other, not that bothered about pyramid headliners.

Have the backup of a place to steward with oxfam luckily but a ticket would be nice.

Are Kasabian actually headlining Sunday? I know I'm a New Zealander so I can't really speak of their popularity, but that's a pretty boring headliner. Also Arcade Fire, saw em at BDO 14 over here, good band, but if it's them, Kasabian and Kanye, I personally think the most interesting headliner will be Kanye.

But not a great lot of headliners really?

Kanye will be the most interesting headliner regardless of who the other two are. Definitely so if the other two alongside him were Arcade Fire and Kasabian, who are both predictable choices.

    • You do get some weird swings here and there, so... Cypress Hill?
    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
