Some of these 18-30 guesses :P 90%+ of 18-30 Glastonbury goers would rather see One Direction over the Eagles? Mental.

18 myself, I have Hotel California (the album that is) and their eponymous album, but nowt more. Take It Easy, Hotel California, Wasted Time, Witchy Woman, Life In The Fast Lane - all decent songs for me. Some of it does sound a bit outdated I have to admit.

It could be worse, could be Elbow. May still be Elbow...

Means there is a good mix for me - Arcade Fire as a definite, Eagles as a maybe, depends on what else is on, and Kasabian as a hell no.

That doesn't make any sense in the context of the argument as I was answering the first line.

Also going to knock points off for not using 'Quackers'

And they don't even do it live!

They've been doing the exact same setlist for 20 years. The lazy cynical c**ts.

A Night at the Opera? Most of their albums are patchy granted but Night at the Opera gives out a real sense of the band in my opinion.

Queen - Heart Attack, Opera.

And It's a kinda Magic. Mainly for Highlander.

And clearly we don't need to go into the merits of the original album release of Jazz ....

Nal - I'm kinda glad they don't do it live. I'd hate to miss it live, and equally have to sit through two hours of turgid corporate Americana w*nk in order to hear it live.

so Queen are headlining? They wee terrific last time I saw them at Wembley Stadium, so are they gonna use a hologram of Freddie or have Bob Mortimer dress up for the evening?

I don't normally contribute to the this band v that band discussions but for what it's worth I think there is can be a difference between bands who make good studio albums and those who can deliver a good live show. I appreciate some do both.

Queen built a reputation for great live shows and I suspect that any Queen show, even with a Freddie substitute, would get more of an audience response than The Eagles who I'd just be watching for old time's sake and who'd probably be going through the motions for the money. They could probably still do a good Legends slot but I don't think there would be much of a Pyramid spark.
