Not my usual thing but I'll be disappointed if Nicholas Jaar's "ambient house meets a lone electric guitar" project Darkside aren't there - album Psychic is superb.

That album is my current album of the year, it's fantastic, I'd imagine a daytime slot at the West Holts perhaps (thats where he played when he was touring Space Is Only Noise)

On a main stage: Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Justice, Underworld.

In a rave tent or similar: Pleasurekraft, Joris Voorn, Mark Knight, Carl Cox, Sebastian Leger, EDX, Adam K, Funkagenda, Umek, Pete Tong, Michael Woods, Richard Dinsdale, Marko Bailey, Prok & Fitch, 2 Many Dj's, Krafty Kuts... and I know I'm missing a load.

Personally I think it would be great if couple of the large club labels took over a tent for a night or two, We Love or Toolroom for example. That would indeed be banging.

Wednesday Morning Queue (Set up on the other side of the fence at Gate D, playing to the masses)- Fatboy Slim 'Welcome to the Farm' set......

Agreed it is brilliant. I'm not sure it's outside/daylight music though. Maybe Williams Green, the Rabbit Hole or a late night slot somewhere in Shangri-La?

Moby Dj set, Daft Punk, The prodigy, Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, Adam Bayer, Cristian Verela, Len Faki, Green Velvet, Nicole Moudaber, Ben Sims, Dj Yoda, Jaguar Skills, Fat Boy Slim, Leftfield, Mauro Picotto, Sasha, John Digweed, John Askew and John O Callaghan and some psy trance.

I like the idea of a tent being taken over by a label.

Or... Carl Cox and Friends would work. He has the clout to bring a varied selection.

I've never heard of electro hip hop soul before, it sounds ace, who do you recommend? All of the above?

Pretty Lights is leading the genre I feel, especially: Most of his stuff is free, the 3 EP trilogy he did is fantastic.

This is probably his most well known one, it just breathes hot summer nights at a festival:

live he throws a lot more in (here's an example)

His stuff is all free

Though I tend to buy vinyl.

my list also includes Bassnectar, Zeds Dead and Soultek who are not in the same genre -

i like pretty lights but at bestival this year it seemed to be loads of dubstep and I had to leave. Hopefully it wasn't like that for the second half of the set but the first was a bit too akin skrillex.

Yeah I think live at festivals he tries to guess what the crowd want and adapt it accordingly - I hope he's done enough festivals and heard enough about Glastonbury to give it a proper go if he's booked, and not just do dubstep remixes.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
