Surely its still touting, but they're just doing a shit job of it?

Nah, by definition it ain't touting. I mean, if you have seen a bloke shouting "buy or sell tickets" for an hour and then they offer you a ticket for less than face value, then they're obviously failing at touting that ticket, however online resalers don't have that sort of transparency.

They're still touting scumbags even if this case isn't touting. It's always worth reminding people of the existence of touting scumbags.

Well the websites facilitate touting scumbags, and it also facilitates honest transactions. I understand why people would dissuade others from using the site even for cut-price tickets but that only benefits a potential tout a little more, and the scenario where the tickets don't shift at all and go in the bin is generally unlikely. I reckon it's as well just to say "never pay over face value for a ticket".

I was more responding to the "I assume they're reasonably good " part of mouseboy's comment. Touting scumbags aren't good.

I meant 'good' as in 'am I going to receive my ticket?' Rather than referring to the morality of the website.

Just nabbed a ticket off Getmein for £99 before fees, anyone used them before? I assume they're reasonably good as they're ticketmaster owned.

I bought a ticket a week or 2 ago, just got the dispatched email yesterday so yes they are reliable!

    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
    • That second part was how I felt about Rock IM Park this year trying first. I found that when it gets to like the 3rd act on the main stage down, you've gotta make a choice to miss anything leading up might not enjoy and it's sometimes while closer for not a great view as everyone in turn has to make the call too. Being short doesn't help as I'd just be able be further bacm but still see.
    • I wasn’t slagging Scooter off, they are undeniably silly. As I said, they are the definition of a meme booking for Download. People requested them for years because it was silly.
