In other news, I got an excitable text from my Dad earlier. He lives about 2 miles from the Eden Project and loves Pixies. I have said i'll go. Which means I could be seeing Pixies twice within the space of a month!

A band I've waited most of my life to finally see, I get to see twice in about 2 weeks. YES!

looks to me like they're the Saturday Other Stage headliner then. though Neil said they were on Other but not headlining, i'm guessing that was when Metallica were in place to headline Other and Pixies would've been subbing them

no doubt gonna have to miss them which is gonna kill me. Metallica better be worth it - and i hope Pixies play an Indie Cindy heavy set, to soften the blow*

If they're headlining Saturday Other, that's just gonna completely make my festival. It's been said that they wouldn't get put against Metallica but there's no real candidates for Other Stage headline that night is there? Plus it'd be even worse to clash them with Arcade Fire or Jack White. I'm probably just convincing myself it'll happen but god damn it, it'd be glorious.

it definitely looks that way - there's nobody else on the poster who would make sense as a Other Stage headliner apart from them (would've said Disclosure but we now know they're headlining West Holts)

Pixies can not clash with Metallica that would be stupid! Why don't they just give jack white a headline slot on the other stage and get pixies to sub Metallica. That would work don't you think?

considering it looks like Pixies were originally supposed to sub Metallica it's a damn shame that they're now seemingly clashing. Pixies > Metallica would've been beautiful (Jack White > Metallica is still amazing but i'm a bigger Pixies fan than Jack White)

I think people get too hung up on clashes at Glasto. It's such an enormous festival, clashes simply can't be avoided. People are placed where they are available to be placed. It's not like a smaller festival where things are structured with purpose. Glasto doesn't pay much, they just take what they can get and stick them where they can. Clashes are unavoidable.

I could be wrong. But that's how I see it.

Looking at the latest Pixies setlists on setlist.fm make me moist in anticipation.

I couldn't imagine being anywhere else during their set, the stuff of legends!
