Repeats are only a problem for the people that go to that festival every year.

I do find it silly when someone goes,

"Oh, x&y are playing, they played 5 years ago how unoriginal" as if everyone who went five years ago is attending this year.

If you go to the same festival every year, you should EXPECT repeats, not get pissed off when they happen.

Failed to get a Glastonbury ticket so thinking about this. You can fly out from Prestwick first thing on Sunday and come back Monday night for £60 ( after watching them on BBC2 on the Friday night ! ) Looks like tickets for Dublin go on sale this Friday. Only thing puting me off is what if they announce something in Glasgow for June ???

Anyone got any idea if this is likely ??

Aer Lingus is double the price from Glasgow as the Ryanair Prestwick price quoted above. Went over a couple of years back for Scotland Ireland football. Brilliant weekend and really easy to get in and out.Looks like the gig is only 6.5 miles from the city centre.

Does anyone know how ticket sales have been for T so far? Will slow sales be likely to result in more acts being announced soon? I don't know anyone who's bought tickets for it so far which is unusual.

Didn't seem to be available on Ticketmaster earlier, but I've no idea of the amount that went on sale.

    • It's the photo that keeps on giving;
    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.
