The cynic in me thinks they will hold back the likes of Arcade Fire for this and leave T with a third rate lineup again. More money to be made for the promoters plus they can book them again for the Hydro in late autumn.

I think that's a really strong set of headliners and pretty much the best they could wish for.

You have arctics who are the biggest draw in the UK at the minute, biffy with there Scottish connections and a headliner now and arcade fire where pretty much every major mainstream festival wants as headliners.

Saying that Arcade Fire won't headline.

Biffy and Arcade Fire to co-headline one night? Just putting it out there (unless anyone already has).

With some dreadful pop act doing the other to balance it out.

T might have got a boot up the backside from not selling out and may splash a bit more cash like they did in 2011.

On an unrelated point, with The Offspring being announced for Download I would love them at T but don't see it happening with the current T audience.

I feel weird hearing all this optimism regarding lineup, surely its not going to be another crash and burn like last year after positive chat beforehand, very doubtful Quo or Offspring will play but more chance of Offspring

Defo next announcement in Feb

I've just found this on wiki...

"The festival attracts up to 85,000 people each day, along with 70,000 campers. Some feel that the event has become a haven for neds and anti-social behaviour; others believe that this perception is an exaggeration."

Wouldn't mind it if they managed to get Blink-182 booked again, I know lot of people who were gutted when they pulled out in 2011 (The Strokes was a better choice though). Would imagine Limp Bizkit would also go down quite well with most people? Can't see any of the Download acts being there, The Offspring are most likely, and would be a laugh to see live, but I doubt they'll go for it.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
