Yeah they were very good.

Other stage headline slot or a Pyramid sub would be deserving IMO.

Spanish Sahara yet again delivered, even if the wind at the Other Stage tried its best to fuck with it........

Foals are very much getting stronger as a force

Yup, one of the sets of the weekend for me. A great slot for them too. Other stage headliners or supporting the headliner on the pyramid is coming up for them after the release of their next album

They were great but the sound was maddening - seemed as compressed as radio play with little variation from loud to quiet passages

They also seemed too have stolen everyone's lasers

Agree that they absolutely nailed it and they sounded great from where we were. (imo the wind had a lot to do with sound quality this year although I know that the Other Stage has been dodgy in the past.) A guy stood just in front of us got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend at the start of Spanish Sahara (cue lots of cheering and clapping from the nearby crowd) which made it feel really special and gave me that warm 'glastonbury glow' :giveheart: .

I watched it back last night and it looks fantastic all the way through....but I was stood a bit more over to arcadia near the start as I was wanting to dash off to Chic....Crowd was just shit, people talking over the top and the vocals sounded crap ...

Anyway about half way through Spanish Sahara and people started leaving (I guess alot of people were on their way somewhere else after!) and there a nice bit of space opening, so I went forward....Was bloody fantastic once you could hear them and was part of a crowd who were actually into them. Fucking hell Inhaler/Providence/Two Steps Twice is an epic way to finish a gig!

Kept thinking they would have been awesome as JPT headliners.. but do maybe deserve a bigger slot!

I am going to have to watch it back, i watched it from behind the sound stage to the right, i could just see the screen. It sounded good but my attention was constantly being distracted by drunken rampant teenagers and people traffic. Once i though i'd found a decent spot that i thought was not an alley way for barging than a string of 20 decided to take there route through me..... really annoying, plus it was very windy and a bit cold. I am getting on you know :)

I love Foals and thought this was going to be a real moment for them. And to be fair it may well have been, but for me the wind ruined it.

I think we were stood in a bad spot - the sound fluctuated constantly, the volume was low and it all sounded very muffled.

Having seen them many times before, I know how good they can be. But it didn't do it for me this time.

For every act I watched at the Other Stage bar the Hives we managed to get a spot just in front of the sound desk so the sound was great throughout, I managed to get a fair few people to crouch down for one of the songs only for them to play an extended breakdown and everyone got knackered before it all kicked in again, great show though!

The one thing I was disappointed about before, during and after the festival was how Foals playing at a similar time to Monkeys. Wanted to make sure I was close to the front for Monkeys so had to sacrifice Foals. Not seen them since 2007 and they've come on so much since then :(

I thought they were a real disappointment TBH. First time I've seen them and I was really looking forward to the. Probably not helped by being on the worst stage at the festival mind you.
