Ah yes working now. Great stuff. Just remembered my crappy nokia has a built in radio so I just need to take the headset for it to be able to get my morning updates.

edit: went looking for a headset and found a significant lump of leftover spending cash from Glasto 2011 I'd forgotten about. Went over to the UK in December and had leftovers from that which I assumed was all my sterling but had forgotten about this. Thanks Worthy FM. I am now richer!

I wish they would make their mind up on the booze policy. I don't have a trolley anyway but if I did I'd be pissed off right now as I have enough to be carting it on one rather than carrying it as I will have to.

Personally I trust ME but can't be sure that the steward management are delivering the same message to their teams. If they do carry it through I reckon they will give up on confiscation as people arrive. It's one of those 'nice in theory' policies but on the day in the heat of the moment when facing down 10's of thousands of hot tired people wanting to get in they will ease up.

Apart from the very occasional hiccup due to local network traffic, no probs here this afternoon that I've noticed. I'm playing the stream on Ye Olde Puter through Media Player Classic rather than a browser or anything M$ related mind you.

G1T - a suggestion for you to pass on to the head honchos at Worthy FM: in previous years they've been quite good at giving out site traffic on the Monday. This year, there was a total absence of info apart from a few bulletins saying what was going on on the roads outside the festival. Given that the Orange Route was blocked for about 4 hours, it would have been useful to get some info (even if it's just to say 'the Orange Route isn't moving at the moment - go and do something else for a while.')

Other than that, thanks: on the few occasions when I had my radio on, there was always a decent/eclectic selection of tunes being played.

    • It’s probably fairly easy to stay in a hotel but I much prefer the camping set up. It was pretty quiet where we camped but a longer walk to the arena but the weather was nice so not a problem. There’s also a lake you can camp by. Once we got off the tube/train we walked down the main road and turned right (festival site is left) and camped down there.    Do you think? They do have water points inside the arena & where I camped there were toilets, showers & water points super close. I think if you time it right the RiP stage is so easy to get close to the front. Second stage is decent & a like the indoor arena for bands on the 3rd stage. I think all the stages sound better than Downloads too, always had issues with the 2nd stage at Download being too quiet. Even main at some points.
    • Interesting that they’ve mentioned Blink-182 in mail. Btw dates for 2027 are 10-12 June. Same dates as Mystic & Sweden Rock and most likely Download, RFP & Greenfield.
    • Scooter are a meme booking. The Chems aren’t viewed in the same way. They’re a serious electronic act, whereas Scooter has only ever been suggested (and now booked) because ‘LOL look how wacky us metalheads are we love silly music too’.
