I wouldn't say kanchelskis was great, had a good 2 years. One of my favourite players in the early 90s though, was a bitch getting his name on back of my shirts.

I think he did ok at Man utd also he had a pretty decent run at Everton, I remember seeing him once in a friendly at wrexham and (judging as best you can in a friendly) he had great talent. I would probably rank him ahead of Arshavin who I remember playing well against liverpool but thats about it. I have actually thought of another player from that region Kinkladze, now he was a top player.

Best from former Soviet has to be Aleksandr Hleb at Arse surely? More consistent than Arshavin over his time there, got a big move out of it, although was utter crap at Birmingham when returning.

Tom Ince has gone to Palace on loan. This is a fairly good arrangement for Ince and Blackpool. Whether it's a good arrangement for Palace remains to be seen. Maybe being in the EPL will ignite something in him.

I can only see a Liverpool win at wba and that's united out of the title hunt. At this rate maybe united will not have europa league next season and can just focus on the league. As someone who wants one (ideally both at chelsea expense) to get champions league next year its a good set of results.

It actually may not work out too badly Liverpool not recruiting in January. Always a risk that you bring someone that will have a negative effect on the squad and maybe the chasing pack aren't strong enough to merit the gamble.

Quite, but someone on here was convinced Mata's signing was a turning point, while me and the efest account were trying to drill home that one signing just wouldn't cut it whether he managed to gel or not.
