Ah I cannot wait, so fecking exciting :D Two weeks today we will be on site having set up camp, probably drinking a large quantity of cider. Plan to take it easy this year on the Wednesday and Thursday but I'm not sure how successful that plan will be tbh, I always intend to go easy but come Wednesday evening I am far to excited and go crazy! It is going to be fucking heaven :D

See temptation always is to crack open a tin as soon as I set foot out of the car... But then there's always the risk of needing to break the seal before you get through the queues...

I hope (queues permitting) that this time in two weeks I shall have my second, possibly third, pint of Brothers in my hand. And I'll be considering whether to scoff a Goan Fish Curry or a Pieminster for my lunch before heading off for an epic 'hello home' bimble round the site.

After a morning of hard-work driving me and a couple of friends up from plymouth (My first long-distance drive, Only been driving a month, and furthest I've done is Exeter), queuing to get in and setting up camp, I'll hopefully be, by now, sat in the West Holts field, basking in the sunshine, people watching, chatting, and enjoying a festival strength Brother's strawberry or five. :D

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
