Sign of healthy weather forecasts for Glastonbury: the Weather thread has a 1.5 hour gap 48 hours before the festival and even *gasp* falls off the front page!

Feel we are tempting fate here...

Whilst waiting for the weather report on country file yesterday they were talking about the photography competition they are currently running. You should enter this snap. Its beutiful. Captures the impending doom perfectly with the flags all fluttering in the wind. Very dramatic indeed

Woop woop - knew from looking at forecasts today that it's not going to rain much but didn't realise it might be an el scorchio weekend!! Luckily lots of shade in the kids field - think we might be seeking it out. I might need me a Reni hat like the kids. Wellies and raincoats still being packed just in case along with shorts, hats and suncream. Great stuff!

That Friday rain in 2011 decided my clashes for me. As I recall it was Avalon Inn (indoors) followed by KT Tunstall (Avalon - indoors) then some Cabaret Tent (Indoors) before finally braving it for Cee Lo at West Holts. In hindsight, he wasn't worth the wrath of the weather Gods!

We went to see Radiohead up at the park that day. Standing in the rain, in a crowd far too big for the field, unable to see the stage cos we were far outside the normal park-stage-area, listening to Thom Yorke play songs nobody was there to hear. Got properly miserable, decided to give up on the headliners and instead spent the rest of the evening in the circus tent cuddled up under a blanket.

Went from my worst Glasto moment to one of my best in the space of 30 mins :D

'To sum up in 3 words, Dry and Warm.

It is Looking mostly Dry and settled, although perhaps not bone dry, a good amount of bright / sunny weather can be expected, and quite warm in any sunshine, perhaps very warm over the weekend. Still bring those hired wellies and a brolly just in case.'

I can't tell you how happy that paragraph makes me! Off to pack wellies and sunscreen with joy!
