the reason accuweather etc change so often is I am pretty sure they are based on the GFS american weather model, this comes out 4 times a day and changes according to whatever the operation run outputs hence why you often get such variations. Looking for a trend and comparing model runs are a better way of looking at it this far out

Hate to be the bare of bad news but i just saw a weather forecast on BBC News where they alluded to the fact there could be a succession of low pressures sent our way by the Jet Stream being slightly to our south, the bloke then ended his report by concluding 'summer could be hard to find'.

Someone tell me they've got it all wrong.

Also, Met Office updated their outlook last night:

UK Outlook for Wednesday 26 Jun 2013 to Wednesday 10 Jul 2013:

Indications currently show that the weather is likely to stay rather changeable through the end of June and early part of July, with westerly winds allowing weather systems to push in from the Atlantic, bringing spells of rain at times. Conditions will generally be more unsettled towards the northwest of the UK, with the best of the drier and brighter periods in the south and east. Temperatures are likely to be a little below average for the time of year, especially in western parts, whereas rainfall amounts look to be close to average in most places.

Something strange happening with BBC Website Weather.

Do they suddenly know something we don't ?

That takes us to Fri 21st June (for my home location of Oxted its says 30c !)

And even for Pilton it is showing 25c !

Tbf I always prepare for a full wet festival, imo you have to and if you don't then what ever shit comes your way can only be blamed on yourself. Make plans for shitty weather and anything better is a bonus and if it really is as shitty as you plan for, you will be glad you made real preparations :)

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
