i very much doubt it, they stood on stage half looking scared for a sub spot at download last year and way out of place it was unreal. They are not a major download band. they only played due to metallica asking, if not they wouldn't have been there.

I think Blink-182 could sub, tickets for their arena tour may have flown out but bare in mind they went on sale in November 2010 and they had got a fair bit smaller since then; I don't think getting tickets for Brixton was pretty challenging, actually I half recall the circle area not selling out for a while.

As usual you're talking absolute fucking bollocks and trying to pass it off as if you know what you're talking about... Biffy Clyro played Download in 2004, 2005, 2007 & 2008, as well as in 2012. Hardly a band that's "scared" of the festival now is it. To put that into perspective they've played 5 times, Slipknot have only played 4 times & Korn have played 6 & people consider those to be standard "Download bands."

& you couldn't be more wrong, Metallica may have asked for them to sub, but that wasn't the only reason they played. It may not have been their best performance on the day, but they have been constantly working their way up the line up & will headline the festival in the future, I guarantee you.

shut up you idiot lol. Playing random slots down the bill is much different to headlining a metal festival when you're not a metal band. They were shite at Download in 12.

Can't sell day tickets for the festival that suits them most, why will they at a festival where they are a bit lost?

And you might not be far wrong, if this year they have actually gone for Nickelback then not a lot could be worse

    • They had it last year too, between 3 and 4 pm.
    • I've been told beer will be cheaper until 6pm. Anyone can confirm?   Not like i'll drink more than 1-2 in 38 C degrees.
    • This!   Biffy Clyro I don't think would ever get asked, I just don't think it us their scene and it certainly wouldn't be a wise move for them after how the Finsbury Park show went. If they ever had a chance of regaining or staying a bit higher up taking Slam Dunk isn't how you do it. For the cost of it now I think being into the main headliner does make a difference though.
    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
