I checked what albums are set to be out next year on Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2014_albums) and there's a lot of Download type acts there to think about.

Led me to consider the possibility of RHCP as final headliner, is there any possibility there?

More likely for IOW, they were the only fest known to be intrested in booking them after the shit they called a preformance at R&L.

This would please me. Copping has said that System have devalued their worth by taking sub at R/L and are now only a sub status band. We all know it's shite but I'd love to see how he would U turn on that. System aren't coming back though are they, they're gonna split and stay split very soon.

I genuinely think that they will play Download the next time they tour. They'd be one of the biggest ticket selling headliners they could get and it's one of the few remaining festivals they haven't headlined yet. Incidentally, I don't think that will be until 2015.

me posting "an outside chance" with a question mark makes me think that it wouldn't happen, but because there's hardly any speculation at the moment its something to talk about just to keep the forum going. as you've both said i agree i reckon 2015 is the next year they will appear in the uk

Regarding System, they were interspersing the words of their songs with stuff like 'this is a really stupid song' in Prague the other night - sounds to me like they're sick of their own material. I wouldn't expect another tour after this one - unless, of course, they record another album - which doesn't seem likely at the moment
