I find it staggering how much great choice there is on Friday headliners compared to the Sunday. Maybe it's just me but I don't find Mumfords, XX, Weeknd, Fuck Buttons, Phoenix or Disclosure a good choice to close a festival weekend. I like some of 'em a bit, but they all seem like dull choices.

Especially when I compare that to the likes of Arctics, Portishead, Nas, Chic and Crystal Castles on the Friday.

Just the Stones,Primal Scream and The Vaccines on the Pyramid, dont like the Artic Monkeys and sick to death of the Mumfords. Alabama Shakes, The Hives and maybe Portishead is all i fancy on Other Stage.Seasick Steve and Lianne La Havas on West Holts. Nothing on John Peel stage up to now, same for Park Stage.Nearly all in Acoustic Tent if i can, Beverly Knight,in Avalon Stage. Nothing in Block 9 its one to avoid for me, same for Spirit of 71. Cant see any mention of Bourbone Street area, which is a shame if they have dropped it. Myself i dont rate this years line up,but i am sure i will find enough music to listen to. I tend to go to Glastonbury just for the music, don't do Shangarla, Arcadia or much in Greenfields, afarid its not for me.

Phoenix are about the only ones that would get my interest and that's so slight I could easily be distracted on the way to the JP. It looks like I'm going either have some early nights or have to develop late-onset dancing syndrome.

Arctic Monkeys / The Rolling Stones definitely

Still undecided on the Sunday would happily go see Mumford / The xx / Phoenix

Edit: Okay it's now a toss up between Chic and Arctic Monkeys!

I've changed my mind,I'm not that really fussed about The XX so I'm crossing them off my list

Chic- The Family Stone- The XX

It leaves me the Sunday night free to have a poke around.

It looks like i will still be seeing the Stones on Saturday in some form though.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
