Bootleg Beatles?

My wife doesn't like the Stones at all. However fair play to GFL for managing to fill other stages with people she likes less. I see Bootleg Beatles are down for headlining Saturday night, anyone (including, but not limited to, Neil) know anything about this? Anyone else hoping for this to happen?

Before the line up was announced I'm sure somebody said they were headlining the Acoustic Stage but now it looks like it's Sinead O'Connor which is a shame as she was somebody I would really like to have seen.

Having watched Gorillaz for roughly 5 minutes we headed over to the Acoustic for the Bootleg Beatles.

It was rammed so we sat outside on the benches with a bunch of guys from Liverpool and had a great time.

OK a covers band but a very good one.

I have seen the Bootleg Beatles a few times at Glastonbury and each time it gets more and more crowded .
Now this was not the last time { whatever the date was } but a previous time - anyway it was possible to walk in and there was even a few seats available in the ' raised seating area ' - at some point I dived out and when I came back there was a lot of yellow jackets under the seating area and they did not look happy - as I approached them I could see the problem - the back of the raised area was sinking in the ground and one side was sinking faster than the other - I am not a expert on construction but it was clear that stand was likely to tilt over - anyway they made the decision to clear the stand - not easy as the more people they got off the more people tried to sit down.
I am sure they must have considered closing it completely but they did not fancy a riot on their hand - there was even people sitting under the stand - it was a accident waiting to happen.
Cant recall the year but it had been a wet one { so lots to chose from }
can anyone recall which year that was ?

Ok, now am i really struggling to find a headliner for Sunday. I am a bit dissapointed that there is nothing as of yet with smaller stages to be announced that takes my fancy. It seems that these have dissapeared off the radar and it seems theres nothing really to close the fest with a party atmosphere for me as Kool and the gang did last time. Chic should be Sunday IMO, so the Bootlegs would have been ideal..... shame
