Pretty much just try to avoid Portaloo's really. I've only ever seen one or two long drops bad enough to walk back out of but almost every portaloo I've ever been in has been disgusting!! And the long drops tend to have another close by/quicker queues in my experience.

I am still haunted by the sights I saw in the one in the car park on monday morning. I literally moved away and chucked up as soon as I opened the door! How shit got that high in there I will never know!!

To be fair, the last time actually camped the local portaloos were kept very clean right up to the Sunday, but they seemed to give up on Sunday evening and come Monday morning they were overflowing with excrement. In 11 I think I pretty much managed to avoid using the festival toilets for anything other than a stand-up visit.

Love the idea of the door hook. Might I also suggest a light you can hang or, possibly, a head torch; I'll take both.

Another advantage of the longdrops is that in the inevitably hot weather, the portaloos get VERY hot if you have to pay an extended visit, whereas the nice breeze floating past your legs in the long drops and the blue sky above make for a much more pleasant experience.

I've invested in a Shewee which I'm sure will become a Glastonbury essential. I've been using it at home to practice, because believe me, there's a knack to it!

They'll be no more having to clean up before I use the long drops or (better still) having to hover.

You won't see me using it at the urinals though, that's bridge to far, but if you see my feet facing the wrong way under the cubicle door, that's why.

I have a whiz freedom and my friend had the shewee. We both agreed that the whiz freedom is a more comfortable piece of kit though for use in the toilets I would suggest getting an extension for it so you don't have to get too close.
