I said they would have been boring i.e. if they had played AND if I had gone to watch them, which I wouldn't have. I'm sick of 'you don't have to watch them' being the generic reply to every piece of critiscism posted on this board. It's getting very repetitive. Maybe some creativity?

I realise that someone will be on here very quickly to tell me I'm wrong but I'm struggling to believe that even Jagger is a big enough tool to hint at playing Glasto to NME (albeit the Sunday, which contradicts generally held wisdom) without having every intention of doing it. I know his "Will it be rainy on the Sunday?" comment is non-commital but it's a long way removed from "Not going to happen". By my reckoning, there's only Charlie left who hasn't made some sort of Glastonbury-related comment to NME. Maybe it's the opposite of what Prince believes, I suppose - The Stones are using their rumoured appearance to keep themselves in the public eye as long as possible - but it just seems more and more unlikely that the deal doesn't get done.

It seems logical to me that the Gaga stories refer to her subbing The Stones, bumping up if they don't play - essentially the same booking as Beyonce was in 2011.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
