Not disagreeing with you but have you heard the reaction Asuka is still getting?

Brock vs Reigns to main event, that'll go over well (I personally don't mind it)

Asuka also has a problem with promos which is challenging if your main eventing mania. If they were going to have woman in the main event I would do Miz/Charlotte v Cena (or rock)/Rousey

Ronda vs Charlotte is a potential WM main event, but probably Ronda is still to green in the square circle  to main event WM.

At this point the Ronda name is stronger than Lesnar, if not this year next year she will headline for sure.

Jericho Inside the Ropes UK tour announced. Think I’m gonna get a ticket tomorrow, never attended one of these.

I fancy going to one of these. Didn't Jericho already do one?

Would like to support Kenny more, he puts out some great Wrestling content.

True. She could do with a Heyman type with her.

I'm with you guys on Asuka, I don't get her hype. Charlotte, Sasha, Becky and probably even Bayley are better all rounders then her.

She's the female version of Goldberg, with a better move set. She over now because of her streak, once the streak ends she will have nothing to ride on.

This mixed match classic is awful.

I'm the opposite and really enjoying them. They're match ups not seen before and are quick bursts of fun, they are what all the filler matches on Raw and Smackdown should be. As a tournament it doesn't feel that important and Beth Phoenix isn't adding much to the commentary  team but I've been looking forward to them anyway.

I think it kills the characters as they often don't seem to fit with how they are on other shows. It also makes me cringe seeing the goofy videos they make for social media.

Well get used to them, seem to bringing all that stuff over to the main shows.

TBH it did raised a smile from me when Braun tried to teach Alexa Bliss how to lift a car.

The Miz is approaching the record for most days as IC champion. He has really upped his game in the last 2 years in my view. After mania they should give him the world title and let him hold it for a year. He is one of the few proper heels they have and one of the few who can sell a feud by talking and not just wrestling.

The elimination chamber looks like it will be a solid ppv despite it being obvious who wins the main event. The fast lane main event just looks like a smackdown main event and has been an incredibly dull feud. I can't see how adding Corbin or Ziggler will make it any better. I would have gone Styles/Nakamura v usos title match. Not only would it be a better match, but you can do the predictable miscommunication between partners finish to set up the title match at mania

On stuff above as its been a while.

Asuka, I hate her, always have always will, hated her on NXT, have done ever since shes been on main roster. Shes boring as hell, plus you know shes always going over.

Bliss and Charlotte are far better, although I do not enjoy Charlotte as a face on SD.

Now The Miz, this is a guy who just deserves everyone's respect, hes been here for a long time and just improves year on year, anything they give him, he makes work, he's the best heel on the roster, he's the best all round guy they have. Guys like Orton could learn something from Miz on how they phone in it. You know what makes him so good,  he's believable. You buy into his persona, he has no stupid Wyatt gimmick which has been muddied and now worthless, he's not trying to be a badass, he's just a cocky arrogant heel and I don't think anyone has come close to him in 20 years, certainly not in WWE. Roode was very good at it in Impact back in 2006, post team canada but pre beer money. Shame Roode is so fucking bland in WWE.

I hope Miz gets back to World title level and stays there.

Mania has been headlined by the likes of Bundy, Andre, Warrior and Yokozuna. Being great in the ring is far from essential.

That was different era tough, to be over back then the wrestler's didn't have to in ring technicians to please to iwc.

But Rousey can headline WM, she perhaps the biggest star that wwe ever signed

I would say that Tyson may be the biggest star they have signed, but you may mean for a wrestling role.

AJ Styles is the best technician they have had in years and will probably never headline mania. I am not of the belief that you need to be great (or even average) in the ring to become over. I think people with all different types of skill sets can get to the top.

The internet fans will continue to watch regardless. WWE should be looking to get back all the fans they have lost. WWE has been at its best when it has got the mix between soap opera and wrestling correct.

Seems like Vince is taking more and more of a step back. 205 live now under HHH rule?

Apparently WWE are open to a merger too, wonder how that would work out.

Thought both shows were decent this week. Braun is great btw, so so great.

WWE merging with what?

    • https://x.com/amirtibon/status/2083054470871535853   Some thoughts on the Gaza agreement announced overnight, which despite my reservations and concerns, I hope will be implemented. 1. Donald Trump is trying to collect "wins" and "achievements" ahead of the midterm elections. His party is entering that election at a disadvantage, but because Democrats may choose weak and unpopular candidates in specific states, much like Republicans did in 2022, there's a reason for Trump to at least try achieving a surprising result like the one Biden secured four years ago.   2. The will to provide Trump such a "win" was an important motivation for all sides involved in this agreement: Hamas, Netanyahu, Qatar, Egypt, UAE and Turkey. All of them hope, each for their own reasons, that the transactional president will remember their role in the agreement and the positive media coverage it has generated and will continue to generate. You can like it or not, but that's the nature of diplomacy, especially in the Middle East, under Trump.   3. Netanyahu and his band of liars in the Israeli media (and the last few suckers in the American media still buying his spin) are already trying to oversell the agreement and present it in terms that contradict the Board of Peace statements and briefings. Of course, the October 7 Prime Minister can't just say the truth on this one, which goes something like: "I'm trying to stay on good terms with Trump ahead of an election here in Israel that will determine my personal fate and whether or not I go to jail in 2027."   4. For Hamas, the agreement is a way to buy time and survive, which is basically the organization's overarching goal since October 7. They lost most of their leadership and thousands of their fighters; they will also, I believe, give up some of their weapons to the new Gaza-based Palestinian government, which is a good thing. But at the bottom of all their decisions is a simple calculation: being able to say, "we committed the most deadly and humiliating attack against Israel since the start of the conflict, and survived as a movement and an organization to tell about it."   5. Hamas was able to say that yesterday, before the agreement was signed, and it can also say that today, after the conclusion of the negotiations. So in that regard, the agreement is preferable to the murky post-war reality that preceded it, in which Hamas was recruiting again thousands of young fighters, holding on to all its weapons, and controlling 99% of Gaza's population, making money off people buying fuel and cigarettes. Changing even a part of that terrible reality, by collecting some of the weapons and allowing progress on reconstruction under a non-Hamas government, is better. It means coming to terms with the fact that Israel under this government failed to dismantle Hamas and allowed its survival even before this agreement was signed.   6. Do I think the agreement will be fully implemented over the next 300 days, as I understand the timeline? I'm highly skeptical. But I'm also asking: what are the alternatives? Netanyahu, in his quest for political survival at all costs, ignored David Ben-Gurion's national security strategy of seeking short and decisive wars, which was based on Israel's unique internal and external challenges that make it dangerous for this country to have long wars of attrition. The result is an Israel that is hated, isolated and denounced around the world like never before, and is totally reliant on the support of one man (TRUMP) to avoid crushing international sanctions. Going to war in Gaza once again based on the same promise of "finishing Hamas," which this government failed to achieve after three long years, would have been suicidal unless Trump promised his full backing. And Trump, for good reasons, can't give such a commitment after his bitter experience with Netanyahu in Iran and Lebanon.   7. For me and my family, these are all very personal, not only political, questions. My six-year-old daughter will start school on the Gaza border in exactly one month, as we rebuild our life in the same home where Hamas tried to murder us on October 7. We've learned over the years to be highly skeptical of premature victory announcements and diplomatic celebrations. When these things collapse under the cynical realities of the conflict, most of those announcing them are not around to face the consequences. Still, I don't see a better alternative to the 20-Point Plan that Trump presented last year, at least not with Israel's current position of isolation and exhaustion under this government. So I have some hope that the agreement will succeed, even partially, and deliver a period of quiet. For us on the border, that would be significant after three years of war and trauma. And maybe in the long run, with different Israeli and Palestinian leadership, this will become a first step in a broader positive change for the region.
    • Until they're through the first round of votes there's no point believing any reports about who'll win.
    • David Byrne’s obviously got a few hits to play, but he’s not cheesy enough for the Legend Slot. Other headliner perhaps?
