CFO$ have been doing the music for a long while, haven’t they?

Maybe I'm being unfair then, what has he been doing then? Whoever is writing the music should be fired. Growing up it was a huge part of the package for the wrestler. I can easily remember Savage, hogan, Rock, Bulldog, Bret Hart music. I couldn't reel off Owens, Rollins, Ambrose, Balor etc.

A lot of the old stuff was actually Jimmy Hart. Certainly the 80s stuff.

So Impact have hired Don Callis to come in and run the company alongside Scott D'amore and Ed.

Makes sense as will be run out of Canada, I'd expect many of the guys coming through Lance Storm's academy to get a chance alongside D'amore academy.

Hopefully Callis and D'amore will try a run a product that does the basics well, simple storytelling, great wrestling.

Seems like Impact will be working with ROH moving forward, id love to see Kaz and Daniels get involved on Impact again.

Well my thoughts about clash of the champions.

Rusev getting huge babyface reaction and as usual doesn't win. He really needs to be the brands top face.

The tag team match was the best match. I think usos are most improved stars of the year. Nobody having better matches at present.

I thought the Orton/Nakamura was overbooked rubbish that made no sense.

Clash was an absolute piece of crap.

The womans match was a particular disappointment, Charlottes moonsault on to all the lumberjacks who decided to all gather in one spot over that side of the ring, then she still misses the entire bunch of the, lands on her feet and they all fall over anyway. My god, it was shocking. They didn't need the lumberjack element, it served no purpose and took away from the match instead of adding to it. Charlotte and Natalya feud has sucked, Charlotte as a face sucks.

They should have kept Charlotte heel and let her feud with Becky.

Smackdown is an complete mess at the moment for me.

They need to book Owens v AJ at Mania moving forward, not sure who i'd have Naka face, maybe Corbin win back the US title and have Naka beat him for it at Mania.

He had moved onto their other stuff like movies I believe.

They should have called an audible on that and made Rusev and English win.

Also I am absolutely loving #RusevDay

Who would you rather have AJ face? They've been pushing Owens as their main heel all year, yes more than Jinder, you don't get to headbutt Vince lightly!

One thing that you can be certain about is that the Smackdown match won't be the main event! In terms of who I would rather see AJ fight I would say Rusev, Wyatt, Reigns, Cena and Samoa Joe without thinking too much.

Saying that I don't think it's essential AJ is in the world title match as he can have an entertaining match elsewhere on the card.

The only one you listed who is on smackdown is Rusev and he isn't getting in the world title picture, AJ deserves to be in a world title match at a Mania IMO, only other option is someone winning the rumble I guess and jumping to Smackdown to go for the title, but knowing WWE it will be AJ v Orton, which honestly I guess wouldn't be too bad, reckon AJ would get a good match out of Orton at Mania like Rollins did the other year.

AJ strength is his wrestling, but he isn't particularly charismatic. It means he has great matches, but the storylines behind the feuds are generally not memorable. I could go either way on him being in the World title match or not. Most of the best Wrestlemania natches haven't been for the title.

It doesn't really matter who is on which brand. WWE can switch people whenever they choose. Your right Rusev won't be in the world title picture, but he absolutely should be. As for Orton he got a good match out of Rollins, every bit as much as Rollins got one out of him.

Jericho killing it.

That is incredible. This is genuinely one of the best promos I've ever seen. Maybe I'm used to all these watered down WWE promos but loved every second of that.

Zayn fighting for the world title at the Rumble, Rusev jobbing to Fandango on smackdown. They need a big shake up of creative on that brand.

I am however looking forward to the 25 year raw. Probably the only time I'll watch a weekly show from start to finish.

Rusev is sooooo over and they ain't doing shit with him. So annoying.

Wish they didn't spoil so many of the guest wrestlers but I did pop for Austin at the end of that video package.

Is it definitely just a 3 hours show? I saw rumours of 5 but Meltzer said it is currently only a 3 hour show. Not sure how they're gonna get everybody on.

Also, did anyone watch Jericho vs Omega?

Was amazing, actually better than i expected. Jericho was unreal. He isn't done yet either, he showed up the next night attacking Naito (most over guy in the company) so they will be doing a match down the line.

Yeah i heard about that. Was hoping he might be in the Rumble but doesn't seem likely now.

I loved the match, Jericho went all in on the herl character and he can still go!

The Jericho vs. Omega match was insane. Such amazing psychology. Jericho is definitely one of the absolute greats of all time. I can’t think of anyone who has consistently reinvented themselves as incredibly as he has done over the years.

I stuck around for the Okada vs. Naito match and thought that was also amazing. I’m going to start paying more attention to NJPW based on those two matches :)

Ziggler to win the Rumble...

I think that's overstating things. I like Jericho and respect what he has done. However when I think of all time greats, I think of Hogan, Savage, Austin, Rock, Undertaker etc.  I suppose it depends where you set the bar.

    • https://x.com/amirtibon/status/2083054470871535853   Some thoughts on the Gaza agreement announced overnight, which despite my reservations and concerns, I hope will be implemented. 1. Donald Trump is trying to collect "wins" and "achievements" ahead of the midterm elections. His party is entering that election at a disadvantage, but because Democrats may choose weak and unpopular candidates in specific states, much like Republicans did in 2022, there's a reason for Trump to at least try achieving a surprising result like the one Biden secured four years ago.   2. The will to provide Trump such a "win" was an important motivation for all sides involved in this agreement: Hamas, Netanyahu, Qatar, Egypt, UAE and Turkey. All of them hope, each for their own reasons, that the transactional president will remember their role in the agreement and the positive media coverage it has generated and will continue to generate. You can like it or not, but that's the nature of diplomacy, especially in the Middle East, under Trump.   3. Netanyahu and his band of liars in the Israeli media (and the last few suckers in the American media still buying his spin) are already trying to oversell the agreement and present it in terms that contradict the Board of Peace statements and briefings. Of course, the October 7 Prime Minister can't just say the truth on this one, which goes something like: "I'm trying to stay on good terms with Trump ahead of an election here in Israel that will determine my personal fate and whether or not I go to jail in 2027."   4. For Hamas, the agreement is a way to buy time and survive, which is basically the organization's overarching goal since October 7. They lost most of their leadership and thousands of their fighters; they will also, I believe, give up some of their weapons to the new Gaza-based Palestinian government, which is a good thing. But at the bottom of all their decisions is a simple calculation: being able to say, "we committed the most deadly and humiliating attack against Israel since the start of the conflict, and survived as a movement and an organization to tell about it."   5. Hamas was able to say that yesterday, before the agreement was signed, and it can also say that today, after the conclusion of the negotiations. So in that regard, the agreement is preferable to the murky post-war reality that preceded it, in which Hamas was recruiting again thousands of young fighters, holding on to all its weapons, and controlling 99% of Gaza's population, making money off people buying fuel and cigarettes. Changing even a part of that terrible reality, by collecting some of the weapons and allowing progress on reconstruction under a non-Hamas government, is better. It means coming to terms with the fact that Israel under this government failed to dismantle Hamas and allowed its survival even before this agreement was signed.   6. Do I think the agreement will be fully implemented over the next 300 days, as I understand the timeline? I'm highly skeptical. But I'm also asking: what are the alternatives? Netanyahu, in his quest for political survival at all costs, ignored David Ben-Gurion's national security strategy of seeking short and decisive wars, which was based on Israel's unique internal and external challenges that make it dangerous for this country to have long wars of attrition. The result is an Israel that is hated, isolated and denounced around the world like never before, and is totally reliant on the support of one man (TRUMP) to avoid crushing international sanctions. Going to war in Gaza once again based on the same promise of "finishing Hamas," which this government failed to achieve after three long years, would have been suicidal unless Trump promised his full backing. And Trump, for good reasons, can't give such a commitment after his bitter experience with Netanyahu in Iran and Lebanon.   7. For me and my family, these are all very personal, not only political, questions. My six-year-old daughter will start school on the Gaza border in exactly one month, as we rebuild our life in the same home where Hamas tried to murder us on October 7. We've learned over the years to be highly skeptical of premature victory announcements and diplomatic celebrations. When these things collapse under the cynical realities of the conflict, most of those announcing them are not around to face the consequences. Still, I don't see a better alternative to the 20-Point Plan that Trump presented last year, at least not with Israel's current position of isolation and exhaustion under this government. So I have some hope that the agreement will succeed, even partially, and deliver a period of quiet. For us on the border, that would be significant after three years of war and trauma. And maybe in the long run, with different Israeli and Palestinian leadership, this will become a first step in a broader positive change for the region.
