Looked hot off the press. WHAT COULD THIS MEAN!? Happened today, roughly 12pm, Oldham Street, Manchester. I'll have more on this story as it develops. Early hitch-hiker.

sadimmock
Am curious as to who they will go for this year. Could easily see Suede and two younger headliners, but have no real idea!
dirty_dog
James is the nearest I've come to guessing a No 6 headliner, tough one to call. Guy Garvey is a friend of the festival so could be a possibility

dentalplan
I'm gonna guess at Hot Chip, Suede and Duran Duran.
Mishy
Erasure Annie Lennox
johnl
Hot Chip and Suede are definite possibles if that makes sense! I'd be over the moon with that. Just got a feeling for Chvrches as the up and comer headliner.
dirty_dog
I'm hearing that Hot Chip could be a possibility but not gonna get my hopes up to high, also Noel Gallagher could be in the frame by the sounds of it.
DomDom1984
With them heading a couple of smaller festivals, I can see Catfish and the Bottlemen being a possible for the Friday night.
johnl
They played last year. They won't have them back so soon I wouldn't have thought
DomDom1984
London Grammar headlined a year after playing, didn't they?

sadimmock
Saw Suede in Manchester last night. Genuinely brilliant. Would love to see them again!

johnl
Very happy with that start. Bastille is a bit pony but there's got to be something for everyone in that lot.
cdm22
Considering that its the best part of £200 for a ticket that does seem a bit poor an announcement..
pryce
ok lineup ...but still 200 quid ...cant get myself to spend that money on a small festival
DomDom1984
They've probably not announced a bulk of the bigger acts as always for this announcement and the arts and culture still to come. Think Hot Chip is pish but can't have it all. Reasonable announcement.
LongTimeLurker
Chuffed with Hot Chip - they put on such a good show at Glasto last year. Noel Gallagher closing the main stage is a disappointment for me...won't have the magic of Chic or Grace Jones. Also sad that the Suede rumours haven't come to anything...yet. Every year though I study the line up announcement and every year I happily miss most of the line-up because I can't tear myself away from the fun of the woods and the beach. So it doesn't really matter!
sadimmock
Hmmm. Looking back I enjoyed my time in the village and the woods the most last year, so this isn't the end of the world, but for £200 that is woeful. The idea of Bastille being headliners for anything is.....surprising and Noel G is going to be everywhere this summer. Just doesn't feel special at all. robskyd
£200? It's that just for a campervan pitch!I I think this is an OK first announcement. I like Hot Chip, Noel will blast out Oasis songs and in all my time I've never seen Echo and the Bunnymen. Having been to Haçienda Classical last week I'm really (and I mean REALLY) looking forward to Manchester Camatara's reworking of Bowie. Especially if its after dark in the village.
