Frankly Mr Shankly
What about David guetta don't think he has been mentioned.
broony
Being? I'm not saying it would be a good addition but would fit the dance act people are talking about...
Joe-
The guardian leaked Bjork early last time with an advertisement, I wonder if they'll do the same. David Guetta, at this moment in confusion, could be a contender. I have no clue. I hope it isn't him though.
rexclark
Are people just hoping if they name every act in the world who's not dead that eventually we'll get it? This will be my first Bestival but even I know that some of these suggestions are beyond ridiculous. I honestly don't have a clue who it'll be, hopefully it'll be someone mindblowing. mike46
Come on people it's obvious! Clearly with the money Robs saved booking New Order and (hopefully) Bloc Party, the sunday night headliner is the Rolling Stones! Or the Smiths. One of those two. Or both. Anything else is wrong. TheSeventhOne
Based on absolutely nothing other than sheer instinct/guesswork, I am going to say it will either be The Beach Boys, Prince or Atoms For Peace.
LondonTom
Greenday? What next Bloodhound Gang? I think people are running out of ideas and have now started throwing any old shite at the wall and hoping it'll stick.
random_man
Groove armada have just released a status on facebook saying they have a new website launch! Could it be them?
weirdfish
would love Groove Armada big enough to headline though?
smogo
Groove Armada headlined the Big Top last year, so it's highly unlikely they'd be back to headline the main stage so soon.

smogo
Erm, for what it's worth, Rob's just confirmed on Twitter that it's not Lady Gaga or anyone else on that kind of scale. Y'know, just in case you'd started picturing yourself down the front for "Marry the Night" one Sunday evening in September....
Joe-
Groove Armada are at IOW, which could rule them out. It's worth a think though, since we have no other ideas haha. Edited March 22, 2012 by Joe-

hawkzred
Beastie Boys are the kind of cross over act which I think could appeal to Rob

smogo
Beastie Boys would be the first repeat headliner if it was them. Doesn't rule them out, but makes them much less likely.
rexclark
Beastie Boys have already headlined so that rules them out. I'm going for a classic 90s act, either Pulp, Blur or Suede. I'd be over the moon if it was any of them.
Joe-
Beastie Boys would be so good, and I think everyone would happily see them break the 'no repeat headliner act 2004' rule. Chemical Brothers too, I'd make a friend give up his arm to see them headline at Bestival..
hawkzred
I got ot be honest and say I had not realised that Beastie Boys already headlined. Watched Chemical Brothers at Glastonbury and Big Chill last year and they put on a complete spectacle of a show With Bestival still being a relatively young festival the chance of re-booked headliners is slight, but having a 4 or 5 year break before headling festivals again is not uncommon place elsewhere so could happen again. I'd imagine that Chems would more likely have second shot than Beastie Boys though.
