Blink are playing Brixton woooo yay

I saw them play there in 2012. One of the best gigs I've ever been to and I wouldn't class myself as a big Blink fan. Crowd was great and the band were on top form. I even crowd surfed (and I'm a fairly big guy) :P

When did they play the delayed gigs at the O2? I went to those & they were decent but the new songs were boring.

Early June 2012 if memory serves me correctly because I think I came back from going to Download (just the friday) and my friend was going straight back out to The O2 for Blink.

I'm not really pushed to go to Brixton again for them tbh. Once was enough and it hasn't been long enough for me to feel the urge to see them again anytime soon even at a smallish venue

You are a perfect embodiment of our shitty music media. You'll go far.

Thanks, but their PR guys have drawn it out wayyyy too much. I was beginning to get worried they were guitar music's Azalea Banks.

You are such a hipster sometimes

Hadn't noticed

You know I feel the same. I haven't seen them live yet (was meant to on several occasions and illness stuck every time) but I'm not as excited when I listen to them now as I was earlier on this year.

Yeah pretty much this except I have seen them

Bored I guess as I don't listen to them on purpose that much as I don't have their songs on my computer, they just come up on TV and radio and stuff a lot. If anyone's tuning into the coverage of Glastonbury this weekend it's gonna be a Royal Bloodbath.

And this.

I flew straight back from New York the day I went to see them. Booze kept me awake so June '12 makes sense.

Royal Blood become popular and everyone on here suddenly becomes bored of them.

I'm still looking forward to the album but I must admit I'm worried that it's going to be a bit samey. That being said I'm still super-excited to see them again in five days time; perhaps it's because I don't listen to the radio/have limited my Royal Blood intake

I still think they're great and haven't lost interest/excitement about them. But then again, I'm a bit of a c**t who listens to The 1975, so my opinion is invalid.

Edit - Also, according to Will, I look like Alexis Sanchez

typical :sarcastic:

They are being slated even though they've not released anything new since everyone first started listening.

I don't think we're slating them. I still think they're good and all but I've just lost all the excitement I felt about them back in February-ish time.

I'm a bit of a c**t who listens to The 1975, so my opinion is invalid.

Agreed.

So am I, a little, but I'm still excited about them as a band.

I also don't really listen to them that much, and never listen to the radio. Although when I do listen to them I have their few tracks on repeat for like an hour.

You do. And Eduardo Vargas looks identical to a Chilean version of some c**t from my college. Their entire team seems like some trippy Chilean nightmare vision of random people from my life.

    • When it comes to legacy alternative acts I hope they bring the Afghan Whigs. Those newly released songs are incredible and classic Whigs sound
    • We’ve a friend  who has hens and sells eggs for two quid for six. So much tastier than supermarket ones. She has an honesty box outside her house and has now expanded into selling them to hotels and the local butchers shop. Quite a decent wee business
    • Curiously a rumour has turned up that Barcelona are now interested in Rodri. So could make Real Madrid and Man City are suddenly both in need of a central midfielder.    ... Assuming this move to Arsenal for Bruno Guimaraes ends up being processed before those two may need to enter the conversation.
    • I think Thunderbolts probably had one of the more interesting villains for an MCU movie. I was actually a bit creeped out by Void. I'm a massive horror movie fan, and I can't think of another time in the last couple of years where a character legit scared me like he did.    Brand New Day was a good time. A great villain choice as it played into Parker's insecurities. Castle was a strange inclusion but the dynamic between him and Parker was great. Castle must have been delighted to have someone who never seen themselves as superior to him like Murdoch pretty much always did.
    • Certainly the fact Bruce had disasters at West Brom and Blackpool has hurt his chances. Maybe he'll go mentor his son now he's a manager at Rotherham.    Maybe the passive aggressive comment about Howe being "that fella who got Bournemouth relegated" also counts as it's own comment that aged very poorly.
