@example: @l1nn1ngt0n: @example are you performing at any festivals this year?! < Rockness, IOW, Parklife, Wakestock + 4 more to announce

I reckon he'll be at r&l and in this next announcement.

Not in v's announcement and for them especially would be a big ticket seller

So why would they omit him from they're big announcement before tickets?

Seen him before and tbh I'd be quite happy with him

Brings a real rock aspect to his live shows

He does indeed. Saw him at the NEC last year and he owned it. The crowd proper into it.

What other 4 could he do? Glasto being one of them. Electric Picnic/Oxygen being another? Wouldn't imagine he'd do both would he? And would R&L count as two or 1 being it's a joint site festival?

22nd and 23rd he is at Ibiza and Mallorca rocks, which would probably by the 23 & 24 early in the morning. Then he does the same gigs a week later as part of a residency.

He may come back to play 24 & 25 at reading and leeds that means he would be playing on the eminem day. Reading Saturday Leeds Sunday.

He wouldn't be playing any other day. He 100% won't be on NME, I have no fact of that but I think enough speak for itself. I'm surprised that Weston Park V has sold out but Hylands Park is still on sale. KOL day tickets are still easy to get. Might be a few fans down down that way that are awaiting for Eminem day tickets and possibly Example, very much a V style booking.

Yep, them and Dinosaur Jr. Shaping up to be a great lineup, likely to be best smaller festival lineup by far. Unfortunately it's at the end of the country which has a lot of nice fields but is far away from most of the population so I won't be in attendance if I've already got Glasto lined up.

Sigur Ros and David Byrne are 2 of the acts I most want to see this year, and neither of them are going to be at RnL or Glasto, I'm gutted. Might go to Jodrell Bank, but no money for EOTR and their own gigs are way too far away :(

David Byrne's tour really pissed me off, only Glasgow, Birmingham and London? Living in Leeds sucks sometimes

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
    • Never happen, but an Annie Lennox solo or Eurythmics reunion would make me very happy.
