Placebo headlining the NME against someone like The Killers would be good

I'd like it if they headlined the NME, because 3rd on the main stage is a bit boring for them now. That way they could have a nice long set, and a crowd that is really appreciating them rather than just hovering around the main stage. And I don't think they could get bumped up to second on main unless they somehow brought out a massive album.

Placebo headlining NME does sound more exciting than a lackluster spot on Main (I still think they are easily big enough to sub but doubt they would get it). Especially if it was up against The Killers... in fact if it worked out my headliners were Black Sabbath (Main), The Prodigy (Main) and Placebo (NME) I would be very happy. Placebo would be a pretty much perfect end to the weekend for me and I love the NME stage.

to be fair if that happened you could have deftones 4th main and put jew on another day giving some rock.

I think Deftones will be at Download but if they play Reading that would be awesome... and yeah JEW could do 4th on Sunday to change up that day a bit (as if Killers headline that day it will be predominantly indie)

Deftones derserve no less than 3rd main / headline NME or subbing main at Download, such a good band.

Do people reckon Brand New could grab a third from top slot now? Sold out Wembley Arena and had a very succesful academy tour despite no new album... certainly think they could get fourth now but not sure if higher...

Would absolutely love Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlining the NME opposite Black Sabbath, perfect. I think Brand New would more likely be 4th, but then if they get their asses together with a new album I guess they could manage 3rd.

Not sure about the idea of Klaxons during the day, on main, but then they will have a new album out and there's no way they'd headline the NME again, surely...maybe sub it?

All told though...I like it. I like it a lot. Would definitely get me back next year.
