I think just because the majority of the people on here dislike them, they do not realise that for the punk/emo fans. Fall out boy were their beatles.

You will be surprised how many people I know nearly fainted when they found out fall out boy were in the UK playing reading. For many people, fall out boy will be their must see band of the whole weekend. They are massive and I think alot of people here try to not believe it.

I don't like Bastille, Haim, Palma Violets, Peace, Django Django, etc or any of the other indie lot that have come out of NME or Radio 1 recently, so hopefully they stick them all low down, or against people I genuinely want to see. Reckon they're all a load of the same shite

Kraftwerk was more just to keep with the trend of dance headliners on the Sunday, obviously that may change this year! But yeah wasn't really a concrete prediciton

I can see where you're coming from with Billy Talent but i think they are an unappreciated band at Reading. Their slots are usually low but they always go down so well and manage to get decent crowds.

As for Frank Turner, i could see him playing 4th on the main stage tbh, i do think he will be there but i really don't like him so its more personal bias that i put him there

Just on MCR - I am a huge fan of them, from their first album to the most recent, their set in 2011 was brilliant, the only other song I wanted to hear was 'I Don't Love You', they were my band of the weekend. Think they surprised a heck of a lot of people.

On A7X - they are bigger than Deftones and are the next band that will make the step up to Headline Download next year I think with the potential to sub R&L the year later. Very much looking forward to the new album, huge fan of them.

As for this years line up - I'm shocked at the lack of leaks and rumours, would think they are some big surprises in there and the bookers will have want to kept this watertight.

Black Sabbath/Green Day

SOAD

Avenged Sevenfold

Deftones

BMTH

Killswitch Engage

That would be a quality day in my eyes.

I think if all those artists play they would be spread across the weekend dude. But it would be a great day if they decide to bring back the heavy day, who knows what the new booker is doing? He may book Pixies and Weezer under Biffy, that would be awesome!

    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.

    • It'd be new album stuff if it were to happen I think.  First 2027 headliner in the bag also?
