Same. Owen would get a 'bad' reception. Not sure even Torres would get a terrible one. Only other player I can think of who would get a bad one is Diouf, but that's just because he has no redeeming qualities.

I am sure the premiership players that you mentioned do love their club but would argue that its a lot easier to love a club when they pay you millions of pounds. People said Gerrard showed his love for liverpool by staying at liverpool ahead of chelsea, but does that compare with a lower league footballer with several year hard graft and a morgatge to pay, playing for several months (as many footballers have done) without full pay because the club cant afford to pay them. If at the peak of their career a financial catastrphe happened at liverpool, chelsea, man u how would gerrard, terry and giggs reacted if their chairman had said sorry lads money is tight and we are going to have cut your wages in half. I have my suspicicons but we will never know.

My nerves are shot. My head says we have no chance but... But...... you never know. We've beaten Chelsea twice already this season but they seem to have turned a big corner over the last few weeks.

I'm going for a Liverpool win in extra time.

Or a complete tonking :(

COME ON RED MEN!!!!

Think Chelsea deserved it. Liverpool showed up towards the end. I think questions have to be asked with regards to the Liverpool midfield.

Great call by the linesman. I think there's a lot of bad press towards officials, but at the end of the day, it's a massive day for them as well, and they're there for a reason, because they've been proven the best over the course of the season. I don't think you can ever give a call like that unless you're 100% (it's what I was taught anyway), and he seems to have made the right choice.

I'm glad it turned into a bit of an event. I'd hate for the FA Cup to die out as an important piece of British football, and the build up today wasn't exactly as big as it has been in recent years, so I'm glad the drama today kind of helped the game cement itself as an FA Cup.

amazing save by Cech whilst Reina should of done much better for Chelsea's first. Even though Liverpool didn't turn up for the first 60 mins it was pretty even at the end, a tale of two keepers I think.

Agreed it was a great decision by the linesman, cant really understand how anyone could think the ball completely crossed the line from the footage I saw. Considering there are 3 domestic prizes available in the premeiership, I dont think over the season liverpool deserve 2 of the 3. In a season where no team has been great it seems fair enough that they are spread between 3 teams.

I was amazed Arsenal couldnt beat norwich at home who seemed to have gone on their holidays 2 weeks ago. Spurs only have themselves to blame if they cant get top 4 now.

I thought Carroll looked unplayable at times, The save was so good because he seemed to get so much power behind his header, Cech somehow gets it onto the bar with one hand. Thing is though if he hadn't been away behind the goal celebrating he'd of been in the perfect place to slot the rebound in.

We struggled to get going until Carroll came on. But made up for him today, really was fantastic. We're not good enough to win two cups, but we're better than where our form suggests. We need two new centre mids though.

Game kind of summed up our season though. Anonymous in parts, fantastic in others. Oh and woodwork.

Onwards we go, whoever is in charge next season.

in all honesty, i think gerrard is hitting his last legs, so liverpool really need someone brought in to fill that void, which will be a hard task living up to stevie g. saw this as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-17970169

anyway really think today will decide the title, unless they both win/draw/lose then it will be the first time in a while its gone to the last day for the title to be decided. just hope the spuds don't get top 4.

I just think it's amazing Man U bottled it.

One of the better title races in a while, because it's gone pretty much to the end, with two major twists (City's bad run and then them clawing it back).

Must be the first season in a long while that title, top 4 and relegation are all still be decided on the last day.

I also reckon we're out of the running for Champs Lge. We need two of Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea to lose their last game of the season (Chelsea's being against Bayern) to get it. Still happy with the Europa!

I wouldnt be suprised if chelsea finished in the top 4, I think they could do it if they beat liverpool as the last games of the season they have easiest as I imagine blackburn will already be down. On aside note I would be amazed if tiote still at newcastle next season.

prediction

1 city

2 utd

3 ars

4 chelsea

5 spurs

6 newc

relegated bolton as I cant see them beating stoke to stop up.

    • Have settlers people started receiving their car park passes? I was sure I had bought one, but cant find a receipt for it and nothing through the post yet.
    • @northernangel Are Wolf Alice not in the conversation? They just did a sold out Finsbury Park to 45,000 people, if they're ever gonna get the push it's now.

    • @mufcok could that Fontaines offer and stadium date be 28 instead?   Agree on the female angle. If Madonna, Olivia and Sabrina weren't available, they could still grab Florence back.....obviously that's bearing in mind that she is touring next year. Charli is another option but I just don't think she is at that level and she's just continuously toured she may as well end up doing Glastonbury off of the same your she's headlined other. I honestly thought she wouldn't be about next year.    Obviously this is if the sun knowing anything. But the guy on this seems to be quite sure Fender has leaked....was he just too drunk and messing his words up. I wouldn't go against Fender and Harry and maybe they just don't have a female option for next year.   Personally I'd see Fender, Fontaines and Harry as quite poor but that's because neither bother me personally
