Just so I'm clear - we don't know if the Rolling Stones are headlining Saturday or who's headlining Sunday but we have established that everyone has different tastes in music but if anyone likes anything different they're some sort of moron? Cool.

I don't understand how there is a positive reaction to Kanye.

He is a tool, I heard his Secret Garden set tanked, and he likes to play *****as in Paris a dozen times at the end of a set.

If they're seriously thinking about putting Kanye there, just save the money and promote Nas.

you mean Big Chill.

The headline performance that killed a festival. :P:lol:

Easiest couple of bites ever!!

Can't beat a bit of creativity by putting Pamela in a music vid, sex sells. Only Kanye could of thought of that

But storming a stage when someone is collecting an award, never been done.

Having a mass rant whilst headlining a festival and now that Fest doesn't exist anymore, ok to be fair that may have been a first.

Yeah, so he's a bit of a tool, but he's an absolutely outstanding producer and artist as a whole. A back catalogue that can swallow 90% of the music industry alive (including Dizzee for the record)

On the guardian today:

"Glastonbury 2013 With rumours of Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and Daft Punk, we've got our fingers crossed for resale tickets on 21 April."

I would've thought with the guardians special relationship with the fest they would be more up to date than this....

    • They will have strictly 14 days to comply, at the end of which they will strictly have another 14 days to comply.
    • Bonobo has a new album out in September.  Touring the US the end of this year, so hopefully UK dates and festivals in 2027.  Would make a superb Park headliner.
    • I was following up to pink_triangle's post about what Reform are saying they will do to find money for defence spending.   But with Labour, they may well water down or delay some of the net zero commitments, they may find ways to cut welfare spending with Pat McFadden's welfare review thing, but I don't think it's going to be near enough. They really tied themselves down with the tax commitments in their manifesto, just reversing Hunt's NI cuts would have gone a long way. Under Burnham I think they may try and reform some of the tax system, land taxes and levies etc. Certainly needs reforming. But that might all be after a general election if Labour were to win.  I reckon they will try and do something with fiscal rules to borrow more, and try and persuade markets to go along with them.  (and he's already rowed back on that waspi thing...I think his team and others in Labour had a word).
    • Feels like Leeds getting axed is just a matter of time now, and to be honest, it might be the only way to save Reading. The whole twin-site format just feels proper dated and way too expensive to run nowadays. If they scrapped Leeds and focused entirely on Reading, turning it into a proper London-adjacent day-trip fest for the younger crowd like All Points East or Wireless, it would actually make sense financially. But yeah, for the old-school rock crowd, the R&L era is completely dead and buried.
