I like some of her stuff. First I heard of her was on Monster when she blew away Kanye and Jay-Z with her verse. Its a shame the vast majority of her music is pop pap but there's no doubting that she knows how to rap.

Now Missy on the other hand....

her verse on Monster was incredible. absolutely tore apart everybody else on that song. i was really excited to hear what else she had in store after i heard that, but alas she decided to push that side of her to the background and bring her cheesy pop sensibilities to the foreground

Yeah, she trampled all over Rick Ross, Jay-Z and Kanye and I sat up and thought "my god, who is this woman? She's going hit the world like a fucking freight train when she makes a whole album of this", then when my pre-ordered copy of Pink Friday arrived I though somebody was shitting me.

It's a belter, one of the best pop songs in recent memory.... and was not included on the original album release, neither was Girls Fall Like Dominoes, it was a little bit of turkey.

see the problem with every one of the predicted lineups is that they're all far too much like your every day festival lineup - packed with current indie etc - when Glastonbury is always chock full of the weird and wonderful that you'd never imagine seeing at a festival, which in itself makes it very hard to make predictions / create guesswork lineups

a lot of those acts probably will play, but the Pyramid stage especially looks far too much like a Reading/Leeds or T In the Park lineup

An interesting line up there. I like the clash between Foals and Arctics on Friday,,,,,i would probably plump for Foals It would be all day at the Pyramid on Saturday i love that line up. Sunday would be a wandering day looking at that, see what up with the West holts headliner, might check out Sigur Ros, just started listening to their stuff , very interesting, i would wonder if they could pull a headline slot off?

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
