Kasabian (Friday 2007) - Headliner Arctic Monkeys/Played after The Fratellis - Saturday Sub Other Stage 2005

The Kooks (Saturday 2007) - Headliner The Killers/Played after Paul Weller - ?

Kaiser Chiefs (Sunday 2007) - Headliner The Who/Played after Manic Street Preachers - Saturday 6th Pyramid Stage

Is it me or in 2007 did they not want anyone to move from the Pyramid or Other Stage at all on the Friday?

Go back even further, same "rules" apply, you find yourself going really?

But as others have said, it fits in with the "scene" at the time, they are popular so why not, generally it's always in retrospect that folk don't like bands, and remember the limited number of us on here do not make up the majority of folk at the festival

it's the same way you look back at bands like, say, Stereophonics headlined. seems unbelievable now but i'm sure it made a lot of sense back then. The Fratellis that high up, though, must've been bizarre even then, surely!?

i know they were high up at most festivals they played but it still seems bizarre to me... i mean... didn't they just have one popular song!? and i know it was a ridiculously popular song that was used on almost every television advert at the time, but subbing Glastonbury off of that... hmm

Arctics still look pretty likely. Based on no evidence whatsoever I've always though Gaga will do it. So in my evidence-free world that leaves one slot that was meant for the Stones but if they aren't doing it opens it up to all sorts of possibilities - Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, Blur, Springsteen, Neil Young + Crazy Horse, Mumfords, Paul McCartney, Jay Z/Kanye, or even something none of us have seen coming

every time it seems like we've got the three headliners spot on something comes along and throws a spanner in the works fucking it all up. if the Stones have in fact backed out, then i'd be very surprised if Fleetwood aren't one of the headliners (whether already being there as the Sunday headliner or replacing the Stones). as for the final one... i'd like to think Radiohead or Watch The Throne

    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
    • If anyone sees Lakefest this weekend on any sites please post here, I’ve got alerts set. Been on TFG in recent years and not sold out yet.
